Review Summary

Café Nocturne is generally regarded as a cozy, welcoming spot that offers high-quality, flavorful coffee and a variety of delicious pastries, particularly croissants and scones. Many visitors appreciate the relaxed atmosphere, which makes it a popular destination for working, studying, or socializing, though this popularity can occasionally lead to crowded seating and slow service. While most patrons describe the staff as friendly and supportive of the local community, some experiences reflect inconsistencies in service speed, temperature comfort, and noise levels. Despite mixed opinions regarding its suitability as a study space and occasional reports of lackluster customer service, the consensus highlights the establishment as a charming local fixture with excellent beverages that is worth visiting.

// On Saturday afternoon, this cafe caught my eye. What I will say is what I ordered was good but the attitude from the barista was absolutely ridiculous. Simple questions that were asked were met with passive aggressiveness & sarcasm. I don't remember much of her appearance but she was Caucasian & maybe a brunette? We need to work on customer service because her behaviour was classless.

Best espresso I found in my little area of Montreal while I was there for the week. The pistachio pastry was crazy good. Very friendly environment, too. Good place to open your book.

This cafe RULES! First of all they were super nice & allowed me to promote my show via poster & flyers. That just exemplifies how supportive they are of the local arts & community. Irrespective of that the staff are super friendly & the coffee is bold & flavorful!
I actually went back the next day & got a chai slushie that was perfect for combatting the summer heat.
If you're in the Plateau & want to relax with some refreshing brew I highly recommend Cafe Nocturne.

I loved the atmosphere! I ordered a croissant & a cappuccino, & they were both delicious. I also loved open & relaxing space, so I added this cafe to my list of go-to places.

Average coffee. If you're expecting baristas who greet you with a smile, this is definitely NOT the right place for you (they seem to not even care 😅)!

frankly, mocha was wayyyy too sweet that I could barely taste the coffee. The sconewich wasn't too bad but super dry & super wet at the same time: a blob of mustard in there wasn't really what it takes to give it some moisture

edit; also it's just one of most unjustified pricey spots around. avoid
