Lovely old world, service. The food was exquisite & my chai latte was super. It's refreshing to come to a place that feels authentic & not just all about some cookie cutter Instagramability. The decor feels perfect for coming together, centred around conviviality. there's a beautiful huge Tess in the front perfect for people watching. A lovely Verdun gem; we will definitely be back!
I was happy to try Noctis Cafe & have a latte, only to find out that a plant-based milk latte is more expensive than an cow based milk latte. I can't have cow's milk. Very unfair to have to pay more for plant based milk. This is not customer focused. Fortunately, a few blocks away, there is Cafe Jardin on Wellington & Desmarchais, where plant based lattes are same price as cow's milk latte.
Tu vas adorer ❤?❤?❤?
Super chill Persian-inspired cafe on Wellington.
They have poetry/Spoken Word shows on Fridays & it's doing it's best to establish itself as a neighbourhood cafe & I really hope they succeed. They serve brunch on weekends which include items like bagels & cream cheese but also muhammara, baked eggs in a garlicky tomato sauce with pita bread. This is one of the few places where I've seen rosewater lattes which I love sipping on everytime I'm here. Since we just came out of autumn & are heading into winter, you also of course have pumpkin & pistachio lattes as well. They make smoothies with Medjool dates & a lot of the pastries here are based on almonds & pistachios. There are a few plush seats in the front & the terrace opens out onto the street during the summer, with Spanish guitar, or Arabic & Persian folk music on the sound system. Service is super chill & friendly. I love speanding time here & just catching up on reading, writing when the inspiration hits.
