Café Milano in St-Leonard is a popular Italian bistro with café. The specialties are sandwiches (Salcicia/ Steak/Chicken), submarines, soups and salads. Open late for the late night diners and offers what many say is "the best Italian espresso".
Cafe Milano draws praise for delicious food, standout cannoli and pastries, and excellent coffee, with many noting friendly, attentive service and a warm, lively atmosphere. The menu offers a wide variety, including vegetarian and vegan options, and the cafe is described as a reliable spot for friends, family or work. While some visits are busy and noisy and the service can feel chaotic at peak times, many diners commend quick seating, helpful staff, and the option of table service in some cases. Highlights include lattes, cappuccinos, cortados and delicious cannoli, with several reviews praising zeppole and fresh pastries. A few critiques mention inconsistent coffee quality, occasional long waits, and dishes that do not meet expectations, such as a simple salad or overcooked fried items. Overall Cafe Milano is viewed as a popular West Island cafe with strong desserts and coffee, and the energy, variety and flavor are frequently noted, though a minority point to busy crowds and room for improvement in service flow and consistency.
Great discovery. Italian pastries & desserts were delicious! We were three friends. Moccacino was great, latte was nice, cappuccino was so so. Service was super friendly & kind. The setting was fine but noisy. I recommend this place to meet with family, friends or even work a bit on your laptop (with headphones).

Uber ordered at 1am & very hungry. The veggie sub & poutine were marvellous. However, someone didn't pay attention at the deep fryer because the onion rings & canollis were almost burnt. Very disappointing & almost inedible.
Was very dissatisfied to get my latte in a 1$ beer glass. The milk was also steamed more like a cappuccino than a proper latte. I cannot rate higher when the store does not provide with proper cups or train baristas. I think 3 stars is high for a Cafe serving like this. But the croissant was done well, so maybe this place focuses more on food than coffee. As far as a coffee shop atmosphere. Seemed more like a big restaurant looking to seat big numbers rather than a comfy or cool coffee shop.
We've visited Milano Café several times, & it has quickly become one of our favorite spots in the West Island. It's a charming café with a fantastic variety of sweet & savory options - everything from pastries to light bites, all beautifully prepared & absolutely delicious.
The coffee is excellent, always fresh & flavorful, & the atmosphere is warm & inviting. It's the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy something tasty, & feel completely comfortable.
The service is consistently good as well. Staff members are friendly, attentive, & make you feel welcome every time you walk in.
We genuinely enjoy coming here & highly recommend Milano Café to anyone looking for a cozy, delicious, & reliable spot in the West Island.
We went there at around 10:30 pm for dessert & coffee. The cannoli were excellent. The filling was rich & creamy, without being heavy. It was very tasty, not too sweet, with a perfectly textured shell. Unfortunately, the coffee drinks were not good, which is very disappointing for a coffee shop. The espresso macchiato was not done properly. There was no dollop of milk foam on top. Instead, it was more of a splash of warm milk. My friend asked if there was iced cappuccino on the menu. They said there wasn't, & that the only iced drink was iced latté. So he got that, but it was not a latté. There was not enough milk in it to be latté. It was more of a slush & was very very sweet. It was not good at all. Probably will not return.

I stand by that Milanos makes the best coffee in Montreal. Whether it be an iced coffee with slush ice or a latte, their beans are the best!! Highly recommend.

au comptoir on fait passer les habitués avant les autres clients, maint fois alors que j'attends mon tour d'autres personnes sont servis alors qu'ils viennent d'arriver ! le personnel est très souriant mais je trouve que question organisation il faudrait revoir ça
Best desserts & latte EVER! A little noisy when it's busy but small price to pay! Their salads are quite good too, not a fan of the fried Mac & cheese nuggets- I don't find that worth it & mine was dry inside. Fresh tasting sandwiches. All around great!!
Great spot for Italian pastries although the service was a bit disappointing. My friend & I stood around when we arrived since the place was busy & too crowded. Had no idea if we go up to the counter to order or the waiter/waitress comes to us since we're both visually impaired. Then we finally went up to the counter & ordered. My tiramisu & bottle water came quick, but my friend's order, bomba & latte was forgotten. So he had to go back to the counter, showed his receipt & another lady took care of his order & it came quick. Seems like the first lady whom we placed our complete order to, was clueless about their menu & her head was in the clouds. Honestly I was going to order half a dozen cannolis to take home but I figured it was pointless dealing with their service again.
