Cafe Milano is widely regarded as a standout destination in the West Island, celebrated for its authentic espresso, high-quality coffee, and an extensive menu of delicious Italian-inspired sandwiches and decadent pastries. The atmosphere is consistently described as lively, trendy, and bustling, making it a popular spot for social gatherings, quick lunches, or casual meetings. While many patrons praise the friendly service and the quality of the food, others note that the high volume of customers during peak hours can lead to noise and a chaotic ordering process that relies on calling out names. Although experiences with service speed and consistency vary, the majority of visitors highlight the establishment as a reliable, cozy, and vibrant hub for excellent treats and a genuine taste of Italy.
As they are open until 2 AM, it can be the first option at anytime, specially when they keep the high quality of food & service. On top of that, the vast variety of choices, as you see in the photo, we ordered laté, cappuccino & 🍟🤣 seems odd, but I feel for it . & when the quality is there, it doesn't matter nobody eats 🍟 with coffee 🤣.
Great latte & espresso, tasty cannoli, but one of the servers might be somehow ignorant.
A week ago, we went there before our hiking trip because one of my friends is a coffee snob.
The young cashier or barista was friendly to certain customers but not so much to the others. We were the unlucky ones. We said to dine in & sat outside, & we waited at the counter to retrieve drinks & foods ourselves. Quickly, we found out that there were servers who would bring drinks outside. Why not tell us then? The door is heavy, one hand we needed to carry the foods; the other hand we need to hold our drink. Later I saw the cashier came out & handed drinks herself to another group of customers. Other servers handed drinks to other tables as well.
Nevertheless, the barista who actually makes the drinks, & another guy at the counter were friendly.
Cafe Milano is one of my favourite spots in the West Island for a great coffee or a casual lunch. The atmosphere is warm, modern, & relaxing. It is the perfect place to meet a friend, get some work done, or simply enjoy a quiet break on the patio.
The coffee is always excellent, with a rich flavour & consistent quality. Their lunch menu offers a great selection of fresh & delicious options. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, & provide excellent service.
If you are looking for a local café with great coffee, delicious food, & a comfortable atmosphere, Cafe Milano is definitely worth visiting. I always enjoy coming here & will continue to be back.
Italian sausage with salad is amazing. Everything in Milanos is good food. Big boy for many years in Montreal East now there's one in West Island close
Amazing coffee & amazing cannoli.
Desserts are overpriced so beware.
Cashier (old man, red shirt, manager I think) was rude & impolite, & insulted me for not leaving a tip.
Damn you & tipping culture! Maybe pay your employee more, my job is to pay my coffee, not the barista making it!
Just Uber a chicken salad from what I understand that chicken salad means that there should be some chicken in the salad. However, there was barely any chicken in the salad will never order this again very disappointed.
This location in West Island is much calmer than Milano on St-Martin Blvd. In Laval, it's more spacious, & there are fewer wait times at the counter to order.
