Café Milano in St-Leonard is a popular Italian bistro with café. The specialties are sandwiches (Salcicia/ Steak/Chicken), submarines, soups and salads. Open late for the late night diners and offers what many say is "the best Italian espresso".
Cafe Milano draws mixed impressions from patrons, with many praising the coffee, croissants and pastries, cannoli, and a range of Italian fast food options including vegan and Beyond Meat choices. The desserts and Nutella pastries are highlighted as standout treats, and the vibe is described as warm and welcoming. Seating and service can feel crowded and chaotic on busy days, with some visits noting long waits and a counter order system that leaves diners searching for help. A few experiences mention issues like burnt onion rings or less satisfying coffee drinks, including a latte served in an unconventional cup. Despite sporadic drawbacks, the location remains a popular West Island spot for reliable coffee, tasty subs, and a broad selection of desserts that many see as worth returning for.
Iconic spot! One of the few spots that's packed at midnight, could barely find a seat, which is a good sign of a café. Delicious variety of food, drinks & desserts, definitely give their cannoli a try! They also do service traiteur & Uber delivery, for the parties & the lazy/busy people
We went there at around 10:30 pm for dessert & coffee. The cannoli were excellent. The filling was rich & creamy, without being heavy. It was very tasty, not too sweet, with a perfectly textured shell. Unfortunately, the coffee drinks were not good, which is very disappointing for a coffee shop. The espresso macchiato was not done properly. There was no dollop of milk foam on top. Instead, it was more of a splash of warm milk. My friend asked if there was iced cappuccino on the menu. They said there wasn't, & that the only iced drink was iced latté. So he got that, but it was not a latté. There was not enough milk in it to be latté. It was more of a slush & was very very sweet. It was not good at all. Probably will not return.
Old school café in a modern building.
The original location was great.
The new additional location does not disappoint, the food offerings & drinks are
as good… if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Thanks to whoever is managing these. Also one in Laval.
This place is the spot in the West Island. I am so happy that they opened here as they brought life to the plaza. The coffee, pastries & food is amazing & fresh. It's a great place to stop by for a drink or a coffee. Read a book or to talk to your friends, people study here, meet for dates, & everything goes. The staff is very friendly & there is plenty of seating. Everything is priced very reasonable & there is something on the menu for everyone.

Nice Italian type coffee shop in Montreal West Island. Great place for a delicious coffee of your choice with an Italian pastry. They also have side dishes, sandwiches & some alcoholic drinks. There also a small terrace available but not sure if they extend it to the parking lot in the summer. Plenty of room inside though.
As you enter - go to the cash register to place your order & pay, you'll give your name & that's when you can seat yourself - when all is ready, they will walk around calling your name unless it's an expresso order where you can also pick up at the bar. We had a great time, & our experience was extremely gratifying, having both the Steak & Milano sub (all dressed), fries, soft drinks, & cannoli. The espresso drinks looked awesome, & the barista was informative & took his craftsmanship pleasantly seriously. All in all, it was a very nice experience.
Decent coffee shop, a nice vibe, & pretty popular. There are still enough seats for every customer. There is a separate section for studying, where everyone is on their laptop & more silent, the rest of the seats are for families, friends who are meeting up & eating lunch/brunch together. Pretty chill vibe, & the food was okay (not that special, but not bad). Coffee wasn't to my taste, but I'm not the biggest coffee drinker, so take that into consideration. My friend & I ordered a cannoli & a blueberry cheesecake. They were pretty decent, nothing out of the ordinary. Same for the service: ordinary. The atmosphere is quite nice, a averagely
Open super late which is a godsend in the west island. Service, drinks & food have always been great. The atmosphere is pretty good also, it gets pretty chaotic but it's always clean & the service is quick so everyone seems to be happy. In the summer the terrace is pretty good too.

They need to hire a new barista, I ordered a cortado & what I got was an over extracted bitter espresso! I had to add sugar to make it palatable. Stick with the sugary coffee drinks here, not the place for coffee lovers. It's not that hard to dial in an espresso shot at the start of a shift.
Finally a place on the West Island where you can go at any time of day for a light meal or a coffee. This place opens till 1:00am, & allows people to gather & eat or drink, with seating inside & a terrace outside. Great crispy chicken or sausage sandwiches (all-dressed), as well as delicious croissants & desserts. The coffees are fantastic & prices are readonable. Located in a mall on Brunswick, there's lots of free parking. Truly a West Island treasure.
Omg what the heck, it’s so good. Whatever this is it’s super fresh & delicious I went back in & bought a second one with Nutella. Coffee is delicious too. I don’t even drink coffee & I’m impressed
