Overall, Café Kuya is described as a warm, cozy neighborhood spot with friendly staff, a lively yet comfortable vibe, and a menu that blends coffee culture with Filipino inspired sandwiches and pastries. Reviewers praise the matcha and ube options, pandan flavors, and standout smash burgers along with Lechon and Tocino sandwiches, crispy fries, and sweet treats; some note occasional slow service or a busy pace, and a few trips report inconsistent coffee or a cooler interior, but the overall experience remains memorable for the welcoming atmosphere, creative drinks, and a sense of local charm. The cafe is repeatedly celebrated as a community hub that hosts pop ups and supports local vendors, and many say the staff go above and beyond to make guests feel at home, contributing to a warm, home-away-from-home vibe.
We ordered an iced matcha & iced latte with ube & it was the best drinks we've had in a fat minute. We debated coming back when we were done. 10/10 coffee shop

Fantastic coffee shop. If you like great coffee, you'll love it. Their espresso is definitely the best I've had from any coffee place in the south shore. The ambiance is great. Welcoming & bright, though quirky & clearly decorated by a Star Wars nerd. Service is top tier. The cashier was helpful & welcoming, & the barista brings your food to your table. About the food. Gaddam. Walks the line between standard caffé choices & "exotic" perfectly. Try their longaniza sandwich if you have the chance. All that being said, service takes the time it takes. It's slow, so don't come here for your daily cup of coffee on your way to work.
Discovered this cafe as my daughter picked up a coffee. I immediately noticed delicious looking Burgers on clients tables. I inquired about kitchen opening hours, as my head office is accross the street & I am too busy to cook & only order out. Showed up today, & was told kitchen was closed. Was extremely disappointed, & walked out. Very friendly employee came to get me outside to tell me they would accommodate me, & apologized about the closing hours confusion. So professional on their part. Burger was amazing! They have a new regular client for life. I strongly recommend.

Super tasty, super friendly! Stopped for a quick lunch & the mocha was delicious as was the lechon sandwich. Staff were supremely friendly & the overall atmosphere was great. Will definitely stop back in when in the area!
The smash burger is just insane ! I live in south shore & whenever I craved a burger I would go all the way to Montreal , but now I'm so happy I found this hidden gem !!! Best burger , seriously !
We ordered two Americanos with a simple request to have them served in ceramic cups instead of disposable ones. The cashier, who was chatting with her friend, served them in disposable cups anyway. Thankfully, another staff member fixed the issue. The Americano was tasty, but this was a strange hiccup for such a simple order.

The chicken tocino sandwich was so good that I'm still thinking about it a day later. I wish you would make it a permanent item on your menu, because we live pretty far & I'm scared I'll never get to have it again! I will go out of my way to visit again, because not only was the food amazing, but the vibe was great & the service was fantastic.
Drove an hour to try the fried chicken sandwich, but it was the wrong day. So had a different chicken sandwich (Tocino?). OMG so good! Now have to go back for the fried chicken sandwich. Staff, owner super friendly, great ambiance, service.

I heard much of their sandwich lechon until I tried it. 10$ for a skinny sandwich with 3 little "french fries" slices of roasted pork with some sauce topped with choucroute. & what's up with the bread filled with air? I finished my sandwich in 5 cheap bites. I was very disappointed. Even a banh mi next door is more honest deal to customer$. I went buy myself a good one since it felt like I didn't ate. There's room for improvement. Wish you success
Super friendly & vibey cafe where the Baristas & kitchen staff really work together to serve excellent drinks & food. That chicken sandwich is super crispy & absolutely huge. If you are in Brossard, it is definitely the place to go.
The coffee is really great, the staff are very nice. Personally i'm not a fan of the burger or the breakfast sandwich (too greasy, breakfast sandwich pork had a sweet & sour taste i wasn't a fan of) but my friend liked them. Still a very nice spot in southshore, would go back
Update: I came here on Monday morning, not too busy & ordered a cappuccino with oat milk, a filter coffee with almond milk & a breakfast sandwich. It took 18 minutes for the breakfast sandwich because I heard the cook say "well I only got this now". My filter coffee was cold & my cappuccino had regular milk. I cant 5 star this place anymore.
