I had doubts because of the hype, but everything exceeded my expactations. Food was really good, the star for us, the Octopus with the beans. Pasta are classics & you can't go wrong. Tiramisu was a perfect way to end a dinner with an espresso. They also have a little Figata coffee shop so coffee is great. Our server Pasha was perfect & everything was handled with a cool & relaxing feel until the end, exactly what you want for an night out. Go there early if you have kids & later of you want a supper club vibe.
A warm, nonna-inspired Italian dining experience in St-Henri defined by comfort, restraint, & familiarity, supported by a cozy ambience & a thoughtfully curated oldies soundtrack that enhanced atmosphere without overwhelming conversation.
Culinarily, the grilled octopus (polpo) stood out as a clear highlight-well-executed with confident texture control & balanced seasoning, reflecting strong kitchen technique & precision.
The pasta alla zozzona was indulgent & satisfying in concept, though slightly oversalted, which at moments overshadowed its richness. The beef carpaccio similarly leaned salt-forward, with seasoning exceeding the delicacy of the raw beef. This was also noted in the focaccia which was our attempt to absorb the saltiness of the beef.
The St-Germain spritz provided a light, aromatic counterpoint, while the tiramisu delivered a classic, well-structured finish with appropriate balance of cocoa, cream, & coffee bitterness.
Overall, the experience remained cohesive & inviting-anchored by standout execution in select dishes, softened by a warm atmosphere, with minor seasoning inconsistencies preventing full refinement but not diminishing the restaurant's return appeal.
I am updating the review as it is now open as a restaurent. I came with my friend & we split the bufala & the mushroom sausage pasta. I think the bufala could maybe have a bit more flavour, but still very good. The pasta was very delicious. We had a tiramisu for dessert which was super yummy.
The service was good, & the atmosphere very nice!

Cute coffee counter! Prices are very reasonable for a to go coffee. Great spot to stop if your on a walk. Will be nice when the full location is open with seating. Didn't get any food, so can't rate it.
What the price of a coffee actually should be!! Sweet employees too :)
Probably the cheapest take away coffee I have seen in years & very warm stuff, however didn't enjoy the coffee :
Excellent & reasonably priced coffee. The owner was very generous & gave us some cookies!
