Cafe Fernanda is described as a cozy, welcoming spot with a distinct Portuguese vibe and a warm, attentive staff that makes every visit feel like a homey experience. The pastries, especially pasteis de nata, are repeatedly praised as some of the best in the city, pairing beautifully with a range of coffees from bold espressos to creamy lattes and even matcha. The coffee and food receive high marks for quality and variety, with crowd favorites like the grilled cheese with chorizo and other comforting options, while the space earns praise for its atmosphere, decor, and quiet corners ideal for reading or chatting. However, some reviews note issues such as music volume being loud and a few drinks or to go orders arriving watery or not hot enough. Overall, Cafe Fernanda emerges as a beloved neighborhood spot for casual visits, studying, and enjoying high quality Portuguese pastries that keep customers coming back.
This has easily become one of my favourite cafes in the area. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are very kind, & the coffee/food is great!! I usually go to catch up on some work & it's a great spot for that-comfy seating, access to power outlets, & a little bit of liveliness without being packed!
The music is fun & different from classic'coffee shop music' (& sometimes a liiiiitle louder) so you might want to keep that in mind depending on the vibe you're looking for.
Delightful cafe with superb service & delicious drinks. I had a'dry cappuccino' - which is a shot of espresso with'milk foam' that isn't super mixed together. Is so good !
Fernanda Café is such a vibe 🤍 Cozy atmosphere, amazing coffee, & delicious pastries. Fernanda herself is super friendly , welcoming, & attentive, which makes the experience even better. Perfect spot to relax . Definitely coming back ☕✨
Cafe Fernanda is cozy, welcoming, & delicious! We had a straight espresso, which was full-bodied with classic espresso richness & flavor, great aroma, & light crema. The cortado was also excellent.
The best though, are their Portuguese Natas, absolutely worth a try.
I didn't have time to take a picture of the food because I devoured it in seconds 🤭 best coffee shop in Montreal! Delicious desserts, cozy vibe, fair price & amazing service!
The Natas were super flavourful & yummy & the local is nicely decorated with great ambiance. :)
Sadly our to-go drinks left to be desired. Very watery drinks. Our Chai Latte wasn't hot, & the london fog seemed more like a tea with a dash of milk, far from the creamy drink one would expect. :(
We just got 4 coffees to go, oat milk for the cappuccino, they have it all, & the coffees were great! Lovely little cafe, cozy atmosphere & very friendly staff. 💕 will try to come back to try the yummy-looking pastries & Portuguese grilled cheese sandwich.
