Review Summary

Café Caron & frères comes through as a cozy, charming neighborhood spot with consistently excellent coffee and thoughtful offerings. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, with friendly staff, varied seating including a terrace, and a menu that shines on pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and a plant-based option; drinks such as lattes and espressos and seasonal specials are praised for balance and body, and many visitors note the quality of beans and the option to buy them to take home. Overall it is often described as one of the best coffee spots in Montreal, a place to return for dependable drinks, friendly service, and a comforting, well-rounded cafe experience even when busy.

Cosy spot. Ordered a cappuccino to go & it was burnt.

Excellent pastries & delicious cappuccino. Very friendly & professional staff who help our group of 6 get seated.

This coffee shop tastes really good. The staff are very friendly & welcoming. Although it's not very big, it has a nice outdoor seating area.

However, the coffee size is quite small. I ordered a cappuccino, & when I received it, the cup seemed only half full. After just three or four sips, it was already gone.

If the portion size were larger, I would definitely give it a higher rating.

A very nice coffee place in the heart of little Italy. Only a few blocks away from the Jean-Talon market. Cappuccino is good & nicely hot (compared to some other places where I find they make it too cold). We had the good fortune of discovering that there was a special 2 coffee for the price of one on that day (it was a Sunday). The only criticism I have is the lack of space to sit down. There is a counter where you can stand to enjoy your order if no sitting place is available.

A hidden gem in the heart of Little Italy. I tried the breakfast sandwich, & it was absolutely delicious. The sriracha sauce added a nice kick, balanced perfectly by the fresh tomato. The bun was soft yet held everything together beautifully. I paired it with a soy milk cappuccino, & it didn't disappoint. The coffee was smooth, & I appreciated the variety of beans they offer. Ended up refilling my stash at home with Zap & Pilot coffee beans-they know their coffee game here. The space is simple yet thoughtfully designed, with little details like a big fig plant, a sleek quartz (or granite?) counter, & a great selection of pastries & snacks. I even loved the imperfect charm of the floors-it all felt warm & authentic. It's on the smaller side, & it does get busy, but if you find a quiet moment, it's the perfect spot to work or journal. Definitely a place I'll return to. You get one free coffee when you buy a bean bag, which is really a nice toughs.

Very good coffee ☕️ nice portion & price is reasonable. We ordered flat white & cappuccino. Although they tasted similar, but overall I like the flavor.
