I had a really good time at this café. The coffee was fresh & rich. Also, what stood out to me was how lovely the interior was, & the staff were friendly & welcoming. The only downside was that shio pan could have been a little flakier. That said, I really enjoyed my time here, & I'll definitely be back!

Was visiting Montreal & noticed this coffee shop close to where I was staying. I ordered a matcha latte with seasonal fruit, shiopan (salt bread) & a roll cake slice. Roll cake was my favourite & shio pan is also decent. The matcha flavour would be better if it had a richer matcha taste & the fruit flavouring in the matcha would be better if it was a lighter puree to mix because it kind of sat at the bottom even when I mixed it very well.

I wanted to sit in to eat as I was meeting friends there but everything was given to me in take out boxes & take out cup. I didn't mention if I was taking out or staying in since I wasn't asked but maybe I should have mentioned it myself? Not sure what happened there.

Overall, I still enjoyed it & I recommend sitting in for the ambience if you can!

I came here because I needed a quiet place to catch up with a friend, & accidentally discovered what might become one of my new favourite spots to work.

The space is beautiful. I love the vintage feel, the thoughtful design & the relaxed atmosphere. It feels like a place where I could easily open my laptop & stay for a few hours.

I only had a lemonade since it was late in the day & I still wanted to sleep that night, so no coffee for me. But I was already looking at the food & thinking, next time I'm coming with my laptop & having lunch here.

Great little discovery.

Super ok is the best way I can describe this place. The spot is cute, very nice chill vibe. But the drinks & food are so incredibly over hyped. They're not bad by all means, but they're super ok is how I feel. I think social media made it seem to be incredibly good & unique. When in reality they make coffees & offer little sandwiches/bites. Won't be coming back. Staff was also super ok.

It's a nice addition to the Quartier Chinois. The place is spacious, plenty of seating, & cozy. There's a lot on offer on the menu, & it's all very good. I had tamagoyaki (rolled omelet), tsukemono (Japanese pickles) & flan at the café, which were all delicious! Loved the slight wasabi hint on the pickles. Also had an iced latte & it was really good, though maybe a little small for the price. I bought a shio pan (salt bread) to go & that was the only thing I didn't love. It was dry & not very tasty compared to other salt breads I've had. Still I recommend this café as everything else was fantastic.

Matcha was not bad but 200 ml for 7$ though 😭😭 is insane. Way too small.

A new café that just opened in Chinatown, right next to Metro Place-d'Armes. The interior is a lovely blend of contemporary minimalism with a retro-industrial twist.

The drinks menu focuses on coffee & Japanese teas, alongside Japanese pastries like salt breads, sweet rolls, & cake rolls. We ordered the latte, hojicha latte, & the flan pudding. The drinks were refreshing, though the hojicha latte could have been a touch richer & creamier.

A nice addition to the area - a good spot to catch up with friends, study, or get some work done.

The waitress mixed up my order, & when I went to find her again, she mixed up my food again. If I hadn't checked the receipt, they would have charged me extra for something I didn't like at all.
