Review Summary

Cadence Café is widely recognized as a beautifully designed and aesthetically pleasing destination in Chinatown, often praised for its relaxing atmosphere, quality vinyl music, and Japanese-inspired interior. Many visitors enjoy the high-quality matcha, hojicha, and popular items like the shiopan and roll cakes, though opinions on food and drink consistency vary among patrons. While several guests find the service friendly, efficient, and welcoming, others have reported inconsistencies, including slower wait times, forgotten orders, and a perceived lack of warmth from the staff during busy periods. Despite mixed feedback regarding pricing and service speed, the cafe remains a popular spot for those looking to enjoy a slow-living experience or capture trendy photographs in a stylish environment.

Very cute sister cafe to Fleurs & Cadeaux/Sans Soleil. Love the continued theme of Japanese menu items/decor & vinyl record appreciation. The space is beautifully furnished. I've been during the weekend & during the week during lunch & the cafe had different vibes but both times were really cool. Unsure if it's every weekend, but I went on a Sunday where they had a few crates of disco/hip hop vinyls for sale & I believe they had someone spinning vinyl to soundtrack the rainy Sunday.

The matcha latte is fantastic & an americano at $3.50 is an excellent price for this area of the city. Service is a bit slower than other coffee shops but this is certainly a place aimed to capture the slow living moments of life (sit down & enjoy company over a coffee & some food). Highly recommend if you enjoy coffee, good music, or even if you're looking to capture some trendy pictures.

Cute spot. Their salt bread was buttery & yummy. We prefered their hojicha latte over the matcha latte - you could not taste the matcha. Would be interested in trying other items from their menu next time

We went here for a brief break after a long day. We ordered the Latte & match Latte both were nice & had good flavours. The place sits quite comfortably & is conveniently located at a corner street in Chinatown

Aesthetic du café est cute, mais ce n'est pas l'endroit le plus calme pour étudier. Aussi, il n'y a pas vraiment de pride. Nous avons pris un thé glacé & un latte Hochija, nous n'avons pas eu de coup de coeur.

The matcha latte was good, but the service was not very friendly. I also ordered a hot latte, but was given an iced one. I understand that this cafe just opened & that they are still adjusting, so I encourage them to take this as constructive criticism to improve in the future!
