The spot is cute, very nice chill vibe. But the drinks & food are so incredibly over hyped. They're not bad by all means, but they're super ok is how I feel. I think social media made it seem to be incredibly good & unique. When in reality they make coffees & offer little sandwiches/bites. Won't be coming back. Staff was also super ok.
A new café that just opened in Chinatown, right next to Metro Place-d'Armes. The interior is a lovely blend of contemporary minimalism with a retro-industrial twist.
The drinks menu focuses on coffee & Japanese teas, alongside Japanese pastries like salt breads, sweet rolls, & cake rolls. We ordered the latte, hojicha latte, & the flan pudding. The drinks were refreshing, though the hojicha latte could have been a touch richer & creamier.
A nice addition to the area - a good spot to catch up with friends, study, or get some work done.
Cadence: Follow the rhythm
The screaming of the coffee grinder, the cacophony of niche electronic music, & the loud discussions at the next table about grand plans to change the world with AI.
The coffee is great, but it's too noisy.
Very cute sister cafe to Fleurs & Cadeaux/Sans Soleil. Love the continued theme of Japanese menu items/decor & vinyl record appreciation. The space is beautifully furnished. I've been during the weekend & during the week during lunch & the cafe had different vibes but both times were really cool. Unsure if it's every weekend, but I went on a Sunday where they had a few crates of disco/hip hop vinyls for sale & I believe they had someone spinning vinyl to soundtrack the rainy Sunday.
The matcha latte is fantastic & an americano at $3.50 is an excellent price for this area of the city. Service is a bit slower than other coffee shops but this is certainly a place aimed to capture the slow living moments of life (sit down & enjoy company over a coffee & some food). Highly recommend if you enjoy coffee, good music, or even if you're looking to capture some trendy pictures.
Aesthetic & cute coffee shop. Really good matcha without sweetener as they use Hokusan like their other branch Osmo x Marusan, you can really taste the matcha powder's quality. Service is really fast as their matcha is premade in a squeeze bottle. Standard roll cake. Good spot for Insta pics, hanging out with a friend, & working or studying for an hour max (really busy & noisy during peak times, loud music as well).
Superb coffee & pastries. Special attention is given to the music & atmosphere; incredible!
Having tried four of the top rated coffee shops during a trip, this was my favorite. Great coffee & wonderful service
Ordered a flat white & it was delicious! I haven't been able to find a coffee that smooth in a while. Definitely recommend if you are in the area. The staff is also super friendly ☺?
