About

Cachitos specializes in the craft of authentic Venezuelan pastries and artisanal Latin American sweets, centered around the iconic namesake cachito. These savory rolls feature buttery, pillowy dough typically filled with high-quality ham or fresh cheeses to provide a distinct flavor profile. The establishment focuses on traditional baking techniques that highlight the rich textures and balanced ingredients central to Caribbean snack culture. Patrons select from an array of hand-pressed options that represent regional culinary heritage through consistent preparation methods. Beyond savory offerings, the menu includes various sugar-dusted treats and caffeinated beverages curated to complement the bold, salty notes of the primary pastry selection. Every item serves as a testament to specialized dough preparation, ensuring each batch maintains its characteristic soft crumb and aromatic, golden exterior for a genuine tasting experience.

Seemingly a family owned restaurant with super friendly service & ultra fresh, flavourful cachitas straight out of the oven.
The Dulce de leche cupcake was exquisite.

Venezuelan comfort food is unmatched. Specially when it's fresh & homemade, like they make it in cachitos. Will be coming again

They're absolutely amazing fresh from the restaurant but I also found them being sold frozen at the grocery store. They baked so well & were delicious. Much love to Cachitos Montreal!

We grabbed a drink & bite to eat & were so happy that we walked over to this establishment. The food was fresh & delicious & satisfying. We definitely will make our way over here again on our next trip to Montreal.

Non-enthusiastic service. Cachitos had too much dough. Atmosphere in accordance. Not all offerings available. Of those available not all were freshly made. But then again, it's virtually impossible to find a bakery in Montreal island which offers fresh produce.

Venezuelan food?! In Montreal?! Say less. This is a hole-in-the-wall bakery offering cachitos, a Venezuelan savory pastry usually filled with ham & typically shaped like croissants. They seemed to have some indoor seating, but we ordered at their outdoor window - it reminded us of the South Florida'ventanita' culture. It was a lovely experience. We stumbled upon Cachitos while walking around Montreal & had to do a double-take. The place's name wasn't in French, & upon closer look, we saw that it was a Venezuelan spot. Needless to say we had to try the food. As someone raised in Miami, I have somewhat high standards for Latin cuisine, & Cachitos' food did not disappoint. They had an extensive menu of different cachitos, everything from the traditional ham & cheese to guava-filled ones (which I regret not getting). We went with the traditional ham, & it was delicious! You could tell it had been freshly baked. It was so warm, & every bite just took us back to the street food in Miami. It was one of the best fast-food Latin pastries I've had in a while. It came with a sauce side, making for the perfect pairing. The one thing I wish they did differently? Adding prices to their menu. I had no idea whether we would pay $10 or $3 (we ended up paying $6 for one, a fair price for a hearty snack).

We tried the stuffed bread & they were fantastic! Fresh & tasty just how I remembered them back home. Staff was very friendly. They play good music too. We'll definitely be back
