Hello Cabane a Sucre Paquette, as of march 2026 This is The Overview Of My Visit To Your Business
Overall This Place Is Good & The Staff Are Very Welcoming & The Place Is Not Too Over Crowded Very Clean Facilities Barn, Sheds For Maple On Ice The Restaurant & Washrooms.
Horses & Animals All Seem Very Healthy & Content ! The Highlights Of This Place Are Definitely The Maple On Ice Shed With The Maple Itself With A Very Woody & Nice Rich Taste To It. The Shed Is Very Beautiful With Rustic Decoration That Gives It A Whimsical Timely Feel.
The Animal Barn & Ponies Outside Are All Wonderful & Fairly Priced Personally Haven't Tried The Horse Buggy Ride But The Rides Seem Very Good & The Buggies Themselves Are Very Large & Spacious Built With Good Wood Material Made To Last.
I Have Eaten In The Paquette Building As I Understood Their Were Two Different Restaurant Buildings
Here Are Some Of The Most Important Improvements That In My Opinion This Place Needs To Be A Five Star !
All Buildings Restaurant, Maple Shed & Animal Barn Need To Be More Heated I Have Passed A Couple Hours Here To Enjoy & Eat but Everywhere Was Just Very Cold For The Maple Shed & Animal Barn I Can Understand But For The Restaurant Building, A Nice Warm Room Is Expected It Was Very Cold Everywhere Which Was Not Helping As Our Food & Coffee Would Also Get Cold Very Quickly As A Consequence This Is Probably The Biggest Miss For Me
For The Other Things Its In The Small Details In The Food Service The Little Things That Seem Benin But If Done Well Make A Huge Impression Of Good Quality. Coffee Cups & Water Cups Are Very Small, Smaller Than Most Average Restaurant. The Beans Were Very Good ! Eggs, Sausages, Potatoes, Ham, Creton, & The desserts Were All Really Good ! The Bacon Was Very Hard & Overcooked That Was The Biggest Disappointment Foodwise To Me.
Some last Details Are The Bread & Pea Soup Are Very Good ! Although I Wish There Were Either A little More Bread Or The Option To Have Some Toasts White Or Whole Grain The Maple Syrup On The Table Was Good But The Jar Itself Was Quite Dirty
The Sugar For The Coffee Was A Little Lumpy But The Rest Overall Was Very good
The Waiter Was Very Kind & Quite Helpful Maybe A Little Bit Rushed But Understandable Given It Was Busy
In The Restaurant The Music Was Good But A Little Too Much Bass So Not Much Music Can Be Heard Aside From Bass Rumbling.
In All The Biggest Points That Could Make This Place Amazing Are
- Better Heating
- Bacon That Is Not Hard Or Overcooked
- Possibly Larger Coffee & Water Cups
- Adjustments Of Your Speaker's Equalizers So The Music Can Be Heard Clearer In Your Large Rooms
In All I Really Enjoyed My Visit & Look Forward To Be Coming Back Next Year & Am Hopeful These Small Adjustments Could Be Made ! This Would Really Elevate The Experiences & Make This A Gem & Pride Of Quebec !
The food was delicious & authentic. Better than most Cabane à Sucre I've been too. I just wanted more of the food. We were a group of 11 & even though we had 2 trays (we had to ask for a second), we still didn't have enough. There were only 2 servers (& one dude on coffee duty). They ran their tails off & bless them for serving us with a smile. They were understaffed (as are many restaurants nowadays). I felt like service could improve dramatically by being more generous with food, leave the coffee pot on the table, & gimme a pile of them crêpes! I got one crêpe. I felt bad making the servers run back for another & another & another. I would return for the food. It was just so good. Apart from the food, the barn animals & maple taffy were a hit with the kids! They also enjoyed the horse-drawn ride. But $5 per person was a little steep. So we sent one adult with all the kids!
