Super bon service, on se sentait comme des clients VIP. & ils nous ont laissé tout le temps qu'on voulait, on ne s'est pas sentis bousculé à partir. Belle ambiance.
Mais j'ai pris la bavette de boeuf & c'était la moins bonne que j'ai mangé dans tous les restaurants que j'ai été. D'habitude, une bavette c'est super tendre, & là, c'était difficile à mastiquer. La viande était très peu marinée; une chance qu'ils avaient mis une petite sauce à côté. & l'assiette était chaude mais ma viande était froide, pas tiède, mais vraiment froide.
Mais je n'ai mangé que ça, alors je ne peux pas dire pour le reste. Les autres clients à ma table semblaient satisfaits.

Également tous excellents ( nous avons dégusté le Homard farci aux risotto - Tagliatelles aux morilles & sauce à la crème - Burger Wagu au foie gras - Short Ribs sauce asiatique ) Il restait encore une petite place pour le dessert ( Passion flakie maison ), succulent !
L'ambiance y est très festive … Génial pour une sortie party & bonne bouffe de qualité supérieure.
Je recommande sans aucune hésitation cet établissement

We first heard about Bungalow on Mount Royal thanks to the TV show Coup de Food. Clearly, we weren't the only ones - the place was packed! Even so, we were seated almost immediately at a nice table in the center of the restaurant, right in the heart of the action. The staff mentioned that the owners were pleasantly surprised by the surge in clientele following the show's broadcast.
The cuisine is described as inventive, & it truly is. While the summer terrace brings a few more'traditional' menu items (fried calamari, various tartares), we chose the more adventurous side of the menu & were very glad we did.
We started with the octopus appetizer, served over crispy smashed fingerling potatoes with a spiced butter & yuzu sour cream sauce - absolutely amazing. For mains, my wife enjoyed the duck magret, paired beautifully with braised Brussels sprouts, pepper sauce, & cauliflower purée, while I had the dorade royale (Mediterranean sea bream), served with a creamy mushroom & leek risotto in a white wine cream with basil. Both dishes were perfectly executed.
The wines were equally enjoyable: we began with a sparkling Cava, then moved on to a crisp Chablis 2022, Séguinot-Bordet for my wife & a robust Morgon La Chanaise 2023 for me. We ended on a high note, sharing a mousse au chocolat with hazelnut praline that was as indulgent as it was memorable.
The restaurant was lively (yes, a bit noisy), but the food, service, & atmosphere more than made up for it. Overall, an amazing dining experience - inventive cuisine, warm service, & a buzzing ambiance

Very happy with this discovery. The food was delicious, creative, & fairly priced. We tried grilled octopus, homemade fries, mushroom raviolis, & pan-seared scallops. Everything was good, but the perfectly cooked scallops with cubed celeriac & butter sauce especially stood out for me. I think we would have preferred the grilled octopus without the sweetness of the maple syrup, but it's just a minor detail. The complimentary bread & butter was also tasty. We wanted to have dessert, but ended up being too full after all that food. Our server was particularly attentive & warm, we also never felt rushed despite being engaged in conversation & taking a bit more time. The restaurant filled up around 7pm & became louder, as we were finishing up. We liked the quieter cozy ambiance before that.
Notre deuxième fois au Bungalow mais certainement pas la dernière !! Premièrement, l'accueil chaleureux de l'équipe, on s'y sent comme si on arrivait chez de bons vieux amis. La nourriture est exceptionnelle, les cuissons, les sauces, les accompagnements, tout est parfait y compris les présentations. L'ambiance, la musique, le service, tout y est pour vous faire vivre une expérience sublime & tout cela à un prix plus que raisonnable. Merci & à la prochaine !!
Ah! Si je pouvais, j'irais y manger chaque jour de ma vie. Quelle belle expérience nous avons eu. J'ai découvert cette adresse grâce à l'émission "Coup de Food" avec Sébastien Benoit & David Savard. Nous avons choisi ce resto pour un repas spécial en famille. Quel bon choix! Ce fut une fabuleuse soirée, pleine de saveurs & de découvertes. Notre serveur Guillaume nous a vraiment bien accompagné. & l'accueil de Nicolas & Francis a été super chaleureux. Nous avons partagé les entrées de Pieuvre, Calmars, Huîtres & Frites. Comme plats principaux, Morue, Bar & Gnocchis au homard. Malheureusement, nous avons dû décliner le dessert tellement on a bien mangé. Une mention particulière pour l'entrée de pieuvre sauce whisky-érable-lardon. Trop hâte d'y retourne
The octopus was amazing, the steak & frites were good too, but the steak tartare wasn't great, very disappointed, lack of flavor, too much sauce which gave a baby food texture. Service was ok, looks like food was taking a long time, as the servers were apologizing at every tables for the wait. Overall good restaurant on a nice street.
I unfortunately have no photos because I ate EVERYTHING! Everything was delicious from the bread to the main course to the dessert. Me & hubby both had the swordfish - extremely nourishing & clean with no unnecessary sauces. The pistachio crumble / chocolate shell dessert was beautifully portioned rich, yet simple. & although we at on the patio, the service was 5 stars. I felt like I was in a downtown LA invite-only restaurant! This was the meal I needed after a day of traveling. Clean, upscale & nourishing.
La pieuvre est tout simplement INCROYABLE! Le service est très courtois & le restaurant est joli. Parcontre, nous avons été moins conquis par le reste des plats. Les calmars frits devraient être servis avec une mayo ou autre sauce. Le foie gras est bien, mais sans plus. J'ai trouvé le tartare de boeuf fade & ça m'a un peu dégoûté qu'il soit servit dans un os. De plus, la quantité de viande dans le plat d'agneau est peu généreuse pour le prix. Finalement, les frites étaient très ordinaires (sèches & aucunement salées). Allez-y pour la pieuvre!
