Asked for a coffee, they gave me a mug, so I could fill it up myself, form the fountain. Fine.
Asked for a bagel-salmon sandwich, she gave me a cold one from the fridge, didn't even bother asking if I wanted it warm.
Then the debit machine was asking for tips, 15, 18, 20, 25 percent etc.
I am a generous tipper generally, but I picked the lowest one, 15%.
Tips are for service not for the products.
I didn't feel I received any service.
Coffee was tasteful & at the right temperature. A lot of coffee choices to choose from, ifyou buy per bag. Nice & clean place.
Just around the corner from our hotel. Friendly staff & great attention to details. Seating is a fun blend between comfort & utility.
I stopped by Brûlerie FARO-Roasting House Montréal & ordered a café latte with a croissant. They absolutely nailed the latte-rich, aromatic coffee perfectly blended with silky milk. Paired with a buttery, flaky croissant, it made for a simple but delicious breakfast.
If you're ever traveling to Montreal, this little café is a hidden gem in downtown. Highly recommended for coffee lovers! ☕🥐
The roast is very strong almost burnt & has a strong aftertaste almost enough to give you a headache
I am a regular at this spot & I have to say the quality of the coffee is consistently excellent. The roasting process really brings out the nuances in the beans & the staff is always happy to explain the different origins available that day. It is a quiet place perfect for getting some work done or just catching up with a friend in a comfortable setting. Definitely one of the better roasters in the city if you care about the craft.
The scent when you walk through the doors is absolutely amazing. You can tell they take their roasting seriously here. I grabbed a bag of beans to take home & they were super fresh & tasted great on my pour over setup. Service was quick & efficient even though it was quite busy when I visited. If you are a coffee lover in Montreal you owe it to yourself to check this place out at least once.
Stopped by for a quick latte & was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. It has that authentic industrial feel you expect from a real roasting house. The barista was super knowledgeable & took the time to dial in my order perfectly. Prices are fair for the level of quality you get & it is clear they put a lot of care into their product. Will be coming back next time I am in the neighborhood for sure.
