Review Summary

Brûlerie St-Denis is described as a cozy cafe with solid coffee and pastries, where a great matcha latte, a standout cold brew, and a calm, comfortable space make it a good spot to linger or study; the cafe's Montreal history and evolving layout are noted, along with generally friendly service and pleasant terrace vibes. Some reviews flag drawbacks, including an americano that was too diluted and served in an oversized cup with taxes mentioned, frappes that mainly tasted like milk, a chai latte and a dirty chai that tasted watery, and occasional concerns about professionalism, leading some to say they would not return despite the neighborhood's other good options.

Cappuccino was fantastic & so was the blueberry scone. Love the amount of bean selection they sell by the bag! Would've love to try the other flavors!

What's funny about this place is that we love their beans available for purchase, especially the Ethiopian Harrar. But the espresso they serve in-house is only fair - a little thin tasting. Cappuccino is better. Service & ambiance at the Masson location, where we usually go, are consistently excellent.

i have nothing really good to say about this place.
The coffee is old & burnt, the cookies are so hard i can probably break my teeth on them.
If you ask for a latte or cappuccino, they keep the milk in the metal pot in the fridge with some plastic film on it - why cant you leave the milk in the carton ?
The staff is the worst, barely a "hello" & it surely feels like you are bothering them asking for a coffee that you will actually pay for.
In a city that has so many delicious independant coffee shop, amazing pastries everywhere - this chain surely doesnt have its place in this city. If i can say that even Starbucks is better then you know you shoud just close shop.
