Brigade is a casual custom made neapolitan pizzeria. Pizza made by hand following the art of neapolitan pizza and cooked in our wood oven at 900 degree F.
Brigade Pizzeria receives broad praise for authentic wood fired pizza with both Neapolitan style crusts and Detroit style options, and for a warm, inviting atmosphere and attentive staff; the dough and sauce are repeatedly highlighted as flavorful and well made, toppings are generous, and portions feel fair for the price. A few visits mention hiccups such as a Barbara pizza arriving soupy, pizza served cold, and occasional service or cleanliness issues like missing paper towels in the washroom. Overall, the reviews converge on a strong pizza focused experience with a lively vibe that makes it easy to return or recommend to friends, though occasional glitches mean some guests leave with mixed feelings.
Delicious! We went for the Detroit style & were not disappointed. Fresh quality ingredients. You can taste the difference in their sauce.'Mmmm, good sauce' comments heard from 2 diners. There were a lot of options for pizza in this area. I am glad we picked this one.
I ordered the Margherita pizza & it was excellent - made with fresh ingredients & full of authentic Neapolitan flavor. You can really tell the quality in the dough & the simplicity of the toppings. The service was quick & efficient, which I appreciated. The atmosphere wasn't really my style, but overall, a great spot if you're looking for delicious pizza & fast service.

The Mustang Detroit-style pizza is absolutely divine! I had olives & a ceasar salad as well for the entrées. The olives are served hot in a spicy oil. Delicious! The prices are reasonable except maybe for the cocktails. I paid 12$ for a small gin lemonade. The staff is very friendly & the place is warm & welcoming. I'll be coming back for sure! On a Wednesday, the place was empty, so I might go back on a busier night.
Great location, very warm & welcoming... lots of seating... it's pizza focused & has primarily Neapolitan style pizza... basically means thin crust oven baked... dough & marinara are very good... cheese is ok... nothing outstanding... they also have Detroit style deep dish pizza... but note.. this is not made fresh.. it's pre made & reheated .. was expecting it out of the oven, out of the tray freshly made.. it was not... still good just not as expected or what price would dictate... staff are very nice.. 10/10... but the restaurant looked as if it hadn't been cleaned recently... floors dirty & bathroom a no go zone... that's a deal breaker on recommendations... good luck.
Margherita pizza up there with the best we've ever had. Detroit style "8 Mile" pie was just what we needed after spending the day in the car traveling. Great crust, perfectly cooked cheese, crispy pepperoni. Great English/French service & welcoming staff. Daughter wants to eat every meal here while we're visiting!
The Detroit is heavy overall, but the pizza is still pretty airy compared to other detroit-style slices in town. Toppings are generous too. The Neapolitan is pretty good too, has more body & is able to be eaten by hand, unlike 900-like Neapolitans that are basically just a puddle of sauce & cheese. Overall Brigade hits the spot. Service fluctuates a little & the salads are pretty mediocre but I'm still giving it a 4 for the quality of the pizzas.

Used to be a great pizza in a casual atmosphere (see update below) The dough has the right crunchiness, the tomato sauce is tasty without being acidic, & there's a huge variety of toppings to choose. Price is average. One of my favorite pizzerias in Montreal. Update: came back to the pizzeria after some years, & I'm disappointed. The pizza has very little cheese (it seems like a new "fashion" in Montreal where restaurants put small amounts of cheese & call it "Napolitano" style). The pepperoni was too spicy. Not coming back.
Detroit style pizza isn't an easy find in this city, so when I saw that it was on the menu I knew I had to go. The interior of this place is well-put-together. Comfy & stylish. Service was warm as well. The pizza itself was bit less greasier than the elusive Detroit style pizza typically is, so the flavour wasn't totally authentic. I selected Italian Saussage as one of my toppings, & it seemed they went a lot lighter on the sausage than my other topping, caramelized onions. It was still a delicious, thick pizza pie that I couldn't finish in one seating.
Came here for lunch this week based on several recommendations. The pizza is among the best in the city, & it's fun to have such a place in the downtown core.
Two points of criticism: the manager hounding people to move forward in the line every time a two-foot gap opens every 30 seconds is altogether unwelcoming & annoying. It's fine that your restaurant is busy, but you shouldn't make your customers feel like badly-behaved schoolchildren. I'm sure it's enough to make some people walk out.
Their toppings are quite expensive. A base pizza is reasonably priced, but with a few toppings added can easily set you back around $20. Too expensive for a stand-at-the-counter takeout style lunch IMO.
I'll probably go back, but only when I'm craving a really good pizza.
