You can really tell the quality in the dough & the simplicity of the toppings. The service was quick & efficient, which I appreciated. The atmosphere wasn't really my style, but overall, a great spot if you're looking for delicious pizza & fast service.View more
Good quality pizzeria with a good selection of toppings - would be better with more veggie options. Also would benefit from more side options like coleslaw, olives or greens beyond salad.View more
I recently visited &, unfortunately, it was a letdown. While the restaurant itself was impressively clean & well-maintained, the pizza fell far short of expectations. I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza, but when it arrived, it was cold & lacked the hearty toppings I was hoping for. The pepperoni slices were sparse, leaving large areas of the pizza bare. It felt more like a snack than a satisfying meal. Despite the cleanliness & friendly staff, the primary goal of a pizza place is to serve great pizza, & this one missed the mark. I can't recommend it for anyone looking for a tasty slice. at I had to reheat the pizza at home .View more
The Detroit is heavy overall, but the pizza is still pretty airy compared to other detroit-style slices in town. Toppings are generous too. The Neapolitan is pretty good too, has more body & is able to be eaten by hand, unlike 900-like Neapolitans that are basically just a puddle of sauce & cheese. Overall Brigade hits the spot. Service fluctuates a little & the salads are pretty mediocre but I'm still giving it a 4 for the quality of the pizzas.View more
A good pizza place in downtown Montreal. You can customize the toppings. Many good choices out of the menu also.View more
I went here with some friends to try Napolitan pizza. It was not as fluffy as it should be & crust was a bit too chewy. We could not cut into the pizza with a table knife. Toppings were a bit on the conservative side.View more
Used to be a great pizza in a casual atmosphere (see update below) The dough has the right crunchiness, the tomato sauce is tasty without being acidic, & there's a huge variety of toppings to choose. Price is average. One of my favorite pizzerias in Montreal. Update: came back to the pizzeria after some years, & I'm disappointed. The pizza has very little cheese (it seems like a new "fashion" in Montreal where restaurants put small amounts of cheese & call it "Napolitano" style). The pepperoni was too spicy. Not coming back.View more
We got the bbq chicken napolitan pizza & the detroit chicken pizza. There were some issues with our orders though, the marinara on top of the detroit pizza was fully cold, the toppings were only on half of the whole pizza, also the bbq chicken some slices were just cheeseView more
Haven't had much pizza in Canada, but just walked past this pizza place & decided to give it a go. The pizza base was very good & the Margherita topping tasty. To be critical it would have been better with more basil but otherwise 9 out of 10!View more
Detroit style pizza isn't an easy find in this city, so when I saw that it was on the menu I knew I had to go. The interior of this place is well-put-together. Comfy & stylish. Service was warm as well. The pizza itself was bit less greasier than the elusive Detroit style pizza typically is, so the flavour wasn't totally authentic. I selected Italian Saussage as one of my toppings, & it seemed they went a lot lighter on the sausage than my other topping, caramelized onions. It was still a delicious, thick pizza pie that I couldn't finish in one seating.View more
Came here for lunch this week based on several recommendations. The pizza is among the best in the city, & it's fun to have such a place in the downtown core.
Two points of criticism: the manager hounding people to move forward in the line every time a two-foot gap opens every 30 seconds is altogether unwelcoming & annoying. It's fine that your restaurant is busy, but you shouldn't make your customers feel like badly-behaved schoolchildren. I'm sure it's enough to make some people walk out.
Their toppings are quite expensive. A base pizza is reasonably priced, but with a few toppings added can easily set you back around $20. Too expensive for a stand-at-the-counter takeout style lunch IMO.
I'll probably go back, but only when I'm craving a really good pizza.
Fresh ingredients cooked in a wood fire oven! The employees were friendly & gave good suggestions on which toppings went well together. You should go before this place catches on because I foresee long line-up once more people start hearing about it. The beer was terrible but I hate beer anyway…
