Sometimes you're in an area for a short time & need a recommendation for a solid bar with great food & a super welcoming atmosphere. If you're around this area then Brass Door is your place. We were looked after by Ed who was super friendly, helpful & funny. I wish we were staying in the area for another day because we'd be right back here if so. Also the Wings were truly banging. Loads of flavours but we went for classic buffalo with blue cheese sauce & instantly upon tasting I wish we'd ordered more. Fried pickles & cauliflower bites for the vegetarians finished our snacks & all went down really well. Thanks so much for a brilliant evening!View more

We were in town from Buffalo for the Canadiens game for a few days. We had a wonderful 4 days in Montreal. I must say this was our best experience in the city. Our hotel was very near & we were walking by & saw a couple guys throwing snowballs outside the bar. We felt like it was a sign to come in to this beautiful establishment.
From the moment we walked in Ed & Kosta were magnificent bartenders & hosts from the moment we walked in. We talked a lot of hockey which we don't have much of an opportunity at home to do, because everyone hates the Sabres because we suck.

I definetly recommend this Pub to anyone on Crescent Street/Downtown. They serve variety of beers/drinks. What I would recommend to get once there is their Chicken Wings, they are known for that, it's hella of delicious. One note to the bartender from the 9th Dec, he is genuinely the best, he rocks at his job & has some positive vibe, people seem to enjoy sitting at the bar & he is one of the reasons customers are doing so ! The christmas lights have added some holidays vibes ! I will definetly be back & with more people.View more

Highly recommend this bar! Me & my buddy regret not finding it sooner on our trip. Everything about it makes the whole experience! Bartenders ED & Cooper are great guys & they will become one of the bros real quick! The wings are the best in town & the bourban BBQ is better than anything we have down in south Texas! The chefs & owner are all great people also very friendly internment all around! Definitely made our trip!View more

This bar has the friendliest, kindest & most genuine bartenders I've come across. As a solo traveler this place was a true hidden gem I stumbled upon on a Saturday evening in Fall. I wish I had gotten the names of the bartenders but they were incredibly nice people. I had a couple of beers & the crowd here is good & almost feels like a neighborhood bar. Definitely coming back here when I'm in Montréal.View more

Bartender & staff all sat at end of bar talking about how drunk/hungover/high they were. Place was empty. No atmosphere to speak of. Never got to place a food order but one of the staff members got food delivered to them. At least the quart bottles of Labatt 50 were cold.View more
