Afficher toutshawarma(26) sauce(17) vegan(14) bowl(13) potatoes(13) garlic(12) fresh(10) garlic sauce(9) pita(9) recommend(9) chicken(8) quick(8)I ordered the crispy mixed shawarma bowl & it was solid overall. The chicken & beef had good flavor with some crispy bits, the potatoes were filling, & the sauces were generous & creamy. The bowl is definitely meat-&-carb forward, so it can feel a bit heavy, but everything tastes good together once mixed. A reliable choice when you want something filling & comforting.
I had the Monday special, Bol Shawarma Poulet Junior. Portion size was good & price was decent. They also sell Faygo soda from Detroit which was an added plus. Seating area was a little cramped & uncomfortable but overall the food was good & I would return if I'm in the area.
Newest edit: I came back recently (one or two years later?) for the shiitake faux shawarma wrap. It was hot, full of ingredients & the right amount of sauce. I still don't think they have water in cups but I didn't bother to ask. I'm bringing my rating back to 5 for the food. Didn't take a picture, sorry
So I would have given 5 stars because the first 2 times I had the vegan pita it was incredible but this time it was just bland & the next morning I had food poisoning even though I ate the food right away. I can't say for sure if it's from this because there's a lot of things it could have been but I'm suspicious now after reading other reviews about their food safety. The vegan meat was cold & resulted in the wrap tasting unexciting. they also didn't have cups for a glass of water which makes me wonder, what's their tap water quality like if they don't want to serve it & how does the resto function without clean tap water ? But back to the main issue: why is it such an issue for a fast food place to get paper cups especially when charging so much for food? Even subway has them. I had to eat food while thirsty . The soup was good but generic . For $18 it didn't feel worth it this time especially because I took it to go so I ate on a bench lol . But on the bright side they have wooden spoons & bagasse & paper packaging for the most part so it's pretty eco friendly as a to go snack. If they had heated the vegan meat more I probably would have given 5 stars despite the water issue .. too bad but I have to be honest. The portion of vegan meat also seemed a bit smaller this time
Decent shawarma, but at the time, I didn't find it above the rest of decent & passable shawarmas. Portion was average to small. Could've used more meat. Staff was helpful.
This Boustan is a legendary Montreal establishment. Fall in love, watch a fight, sober up, make a friend, any & all are possible in the very same night at this Boustan location. I always get the Shawarma pita wrap but the garlic potatoes are delicious as well if you love garlic.
There's randomly a machine for Bitcoin as well if you're into that.
Windows are open in the summer but they have A/C as well so it's a must on a hot summer day. Please never close.
absolutely nothing special about this place.
Dont bother going here!
People who know shawarma know this place is super mid at best.
Never coming back!
Love the shawarma... take the saj bread & not the wrap... the wrap is crumbly. The potatoes with the garlic sauce'toum' ... is divine. It's open 24/7 or till very late at some locations.
Simply I love this pita shawarmas... & potato fries cubes.. my all time favorite
The worst shawarma experience I've ever had, & I'm a big shawarma lover. I ordered my first Shawarma, it was too small, so I went back in to order another one & the cashier first didn't look like he wanted to take my order, then he was upset that I wanted to choose my own toppings. I asked for my money back & left, I won't be coming back.
Best late night & day time food in Montreal Downtown. The workers especially Britesh served us the freshest & tastiest shawarma bowl. Amazing!!! tastiest potatoes & chicken!
Good place for shawarma, delicious, ample quantity to fill you up to the ears, reasonable price. Better to take out. Inside seating is just ordinary. We visited this place many times. If we are in the area, we will go there again. Location is good, at St-Catherine Est
Get a real shawarma from neighbouring places This one is unfortunately designed for an international crowd & not the Lebanese one Innovation is great, but what would your granma say if she sees you serving that & calling it shawarma 😂
Boustan is a delightful gem for lovers of Middle Eastern cuisine. Nestled in a cozy corner of the city, this restaurant delivers an authentic & flavorful experience that keeps patrons coming back for more. The menu is diverse, offering a wide array of dishes that cater to both meat lovers & vegetarians alike. I started with the Vegan Shawarma plate, & it did not disappoint. The veggies were fresh, crunchy, perfectly spiced, & accompanied by fluffy rice, fresh salad, & creamy garlic sauce that added a perfect tang. The portion sizes are generous, ensuring that you leave with a satisfied appetite. The Falafel Saj wrap was another highlight. Crispy on the outside & moist on the inside, the falafel was complemented by fresh vegetables & a drizzle of tahini sauce, all wrapped in a soft, warm saj. It's a must-try for anyone seeking a vegetarian option. One of Boustan's standout features is its dedication to freshness. Each bite tasted as though the ingredients had just been picked & prepared with care. The service was also top-notch; the staff were friendly, attentive, & more than willing to make recommendations based on your preferences. Overall, Boustan provides a memorable dining experience with its delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, & excellent service. Whether you're a longtime fan of Middle Eastern cuisine or trying it for the first time, Boustan is sure to impress.
We ordered mixed shawarma plates, & they were super fresh & tasted amazing. We forgot to add salad to our plate, so we went back to buy it, & the cashier refused to let us pay for it. Everybody was nice & respectful, so I really don't know what all those complainers are talking about.
