Best rub in the city/province/world & they put it on everything. Even the fries! They the freshest tasting habanero sauce with a tolerable spice level. The mustard sauce is a close second, but all their sauces are incredible.View more

Small cozy restaurant, server was very friendly. We had the 4 rib plate each which was a generous portion of fall off the bone, perfectly smoked ribs with a wonderful sauce. Sides potato salad, Brussels sprouts & coleslaw. Sides were hand prepared & extremely good.View more

Smelled disappointment from the second we walked in, or more accurately didn't smell any of the titular boucane. Served tepid water & told no room on terrace in spite of our birthday reservation. Waited 45 minutes for our drinks, mine had particles floating in it from what I hope was just a dirty glass for my 14$ single shot of bourbon. Waited another hour for the food, so had plenty of time to appreciate the poorly lit & dirty bathrooms. Eventually were given a seat on the terrace & made to stand there while they cleaned it. Brisket burnt ends as others have said are not burnt or ends or glazed, dry & taste boiled. Chicken dry, underseasoned, & definitely not or poorly smoked (where even is the smoker in that miniscule kitchen), ribs were fine but laughably small, sides underseasoned, BBQ sauce watery & sugary, didn't bother with dessert. Staff were disorganized & management seemed to sit around drinking. All in all a disappointing excuse for a so called smokehouse which it clearly is not, just a mediocre, cramped BBQ joint. Nowhere near worth the money & definitely not worth the ridiculous wait. After working in the industry for many years I know a poorly run place when I see it. Do yourself a favor & hard pass.View more

What a sad disappointment. Soooo many things that it would take forever to list. The Beef brisket burnt ends are not burnt & not ends .. just small chunks of brisket with a splash of sauce on them. Not even close to being crispy or burnt & definitely not ends. This was at one point, a shining star restaurant for southern style bbq. Sadly, now it's no longer a star but a frowning moon. We would not recommend this restaurant.View more

Wow wow wow & wowwww! Le service était excellent & accommodant, la serveuse était souriante & était très sympathique. La nourriture était succulente. Je suis un grand amateur de côtes levées & elles étaient parmi les tops que j'ai mangé. La cuisson était très bonne, la sauce parfaite & les côtes étaient charnues. Mon seul regret est que j'habite à Québec & je ne pourrai pas revenir aussi souvent que j'aurais aimé. Mais je vais très certainement revenir!!View more

Sueper ambiance & la bouffe est juste A1. Belle grosse portion, les wings sont succulentes ainsi que les sauces. Les burgers sont excellentes, les frites sont divines. Belles grosses crevettes bref, tout le monde (5 personnes) a été satisfait de notre sortie au Boucan!View more

Très joli petit restaurant en terme de décoration. Service rapide au début mais après nous avons attendu vraiment longtemps pour nos plats... Burgers très bons, dommage que la sauce soit en extra pour les frites. Salade de choux pas assez assaisonnée, un peu décevante. Prix raisonnable. Serveuse très sympathique!View more

We came for the ribs & were not disappointed! Fall off the bone & tender. The BBQ sauce was insane. Highly recommend the potato salad as well! The server was so nice & although she was brand new & still learning she had the greatest personality & for sure will become a great server!View more

A simple, somewhat tired venue. Server was very friendly & efficient. Beef brisket sandwich was so-so. Although the meat was tender, I found the sauce too sweet & the bottom bun disintegrated into mush by the abundant sauce. The fries had a lot of little bits, & the coleslaw was served without any dressing, just shredded cabbage. The table water was served tepid, without ice to chill it. A rather disappointing experience.View more

Première fois au Boucan & je n'ai pas été déçu !
Le burger 5 napkins était décadent à souhait (& pas facile à manger proprement) avec 2 boulettes de boeuf, du bacon, des oignons frits, du fromage & de la sauce BBQ. Les frites & la salade de chou était très bonnes aussi !
Service rapide, efficace.

Quelle belle découverte ! Nous sommes allés sur la recommandation d'un ami & nous n'avons pas été déçus ! C'est tout petit (à peine 40 places assises, bar inclus) mais il y a beaucoup d'ambiance. Très convivial pour un souper de groupe. Le bar contient des trésors & les drinks offerts sont hallucinants (je conseille la Limonade Pimm's). Côté bouffe, tout était délicieux, des ailes en entrée jusqu'à la copieuse assiette "Pit boss" pour deux personnes. On y retrouve du poulet, des côtes levées, du porc effiloché (le meilleur à Montréal), des frites & deux salades. Le tout nappé de la célèbre sauce Boucan. Digne de Gargantua ! & que dire de la tarte au babeurre comme dessert ! Divine ! & gentiment offerte par le proprio vu que nous y étions pour un anniversaire. Bref, une expérience des plus agréables, que nous renouvellerons !

Plusieurs plats intéressants, notamment leur sandwich au poulet à la sauce bbq blanche. Endroit très bruyant, musique à tue-tête. Réservation impérative.

Toujours heureuse de recommander les restaurants qui m'ont plu & de m'abstenir de commenter ceux qui m'ont déplu mais quand tu réserve deux semaines à l'avance & que tu te retrouve sur la terrasse par averse & qu'il te pleut dans le dos...
Les ribs de ma soeur & de mon père n'étaient même pas défaisables avec couteau & fourchette.
...pour un anniversaire c'est très décevant.
Le reste de la carte est bien. Sauce BBQ très bonne. Service courtois. Cocktails très bien fait, carte étendue.
Je n'y retournerai pas. Trop de restos magnifiques à Mtl pour y retourner.

Great comfort food. The small backyard terrasse is very intimate & inviting with a nice mix of shade & sunlight. The staff is friendly & the food is delicious. The menu needs to be updated as some items have been discontinued, but we were kindly informed of this & offered alternatives, which I thought was nice of our waitress. The chicken sandwich with white BBQ sauce was tasty & the chicken wings & BBQ mustard sauce were finger-licking good (literally!) The alcohol is a bit on the pricy side for the size, but I will certainly be going back for some ribs! They score extra points with me for the neat, original website.

C'Est un resto minuscule..il faut réserver pour y manger..La nourriture est bonne mais quoi que vous manger la sauce BBQ est la même ,très piquante . Les portions sont énorme. Les drinks sont très dispendieux mais quand même bon. Le service très ordinaire , une serveuse qui fait le strict minimum.
