At BOSSA, we make sandwiches the right way: bold, generous, and full of heart.
What started as a simple neighborhood sandwich shop has grown into a small, family-run restaurant chain built on a simple idea: authentic products, prepared with care. Every sandwich is made with our own bread, baked fresh every morning in our bakery. From our homemade proteins to our sauces and toppings, we give the same care to every ingredient we serve.
Reviews about BOSSA Prêt à manger show a strong appreciation for big, flavorful Italian style sandwiches, with crowd favorites like porchetta, Milanese, steak pepperoni and diavolo noted for generous portions and fresh ingredients. However, consistency is a recurring issue, as some visits deliver excellent bread and toppings while others have bread that is stale, fillings that are sparse or sandwiches that arrive cold. Service quality is mixed as well, with many praising friendly, efficient counter staff but some reports of rude interactions or slow responsiveness during busy periods. Rush hour dynamics and the prioritization of Uber and DoorDash orders can lead to longer waits for customers ordering in person. A common health note requests avoiding canola oil in salads and switching to olive oil. Overall BOSSA Prêt à manger remains a standout for satisfying, generous sandwiches in Montreal, but visitors should brace for variability and occasional waits.
Une perle dans le quartier!! Café & sandwicherie italien. Sandwichs excellents chaud comme froid, & meilleur café de Masson (je ne suis pas une fan de 3e vague!). J'aimerais qu'il ouvre le matin pour le café!
Guys, the hype is real. There's no defying it. I don't even eat the meat sandwiches, because the meat probably isn't halal- I'll say this though... the eggplant parm sandwich, & the roasted vegetarian sandwich... are DELICIOUS. & they're huge. I just order both, give half of both to someone else, & eat both halves & I'll be full for like 7 hours. Top 3 sandwich spots (I mean, I guess it's more of a sub, but whatever) in MTL. The sandwiches with meat are probably even better!

DE-LI-CIEUX !!!
Very tasty & big sandwiches. Not a lot of place in the store to eat but you can easily take out the sandwiches! There were also a lot of sandwich choices. A must try in Montreal!
Bossa makes the best sandwiches in the city & there is no competition here. Their meatball sub is by far my favourite, but I have enjoyed every sub I tried here. They also have a selection of fresh pastas which look tempting but ultimately I end up going for a sandwich every time. They also have a selection of Italian desserts like cannoli. The only reason I haven't tried them is because the sandwich leaves me so full that I habe no room for dessert. If I had one minor complaint it is that it gets crowded & there isn't much seating so getting a seat can be tricky. In summer it's less of a problem because I can get the food to go. In colder weather, when eating outside is not an option, it does become an issue.

Delicious Italian sandwiches, pasta & everything in a small but cute location. The only downside of being this popular is the crowd management during crunch time when they get orders left & right from the physical queue, & online queues. Sure there are signs for pick up & order area but I wished more was done so that there are space to dine in peacefully.
My favourite place in the neighbourhood. Not only are the sandwiches & pasta to die for, the service friendly & quick & the take away items beyond worth it, but the place is Calabrese! The decor is fun & adds to what makes this place unique. Thank you Bossa for being such a neighbourhood staple & making us all happier people for it!
EDIT* I used to be such a fan of this place but recently they have been going downhill.. let me explain. I JUST got home from buying a chicken parm & pepperoni steak sandwich, & it has been one of my worse meals in the last few weeks. My pepperoni steak came without pepperoni & hardly any veggies/sauce, basically break & steak which is dry & flavorless. The chicken parm came without any sauce & again, very dry to eat. This meal has been a disappointment & next time, if I continue going, I won't leave without inspecting the sandwiches. 3 weeks prior I had called to put in my order, to save time while they get done, & I was put on hold for 10 minutes. I arrived thinking they were swamped & it was the opposite, just the phone there with a blinking & the whole front desk staff chatting with each other. This was engaging & I had to wait another 15 minutes... which could have been avoided. I don't know what's going on there but these have been my 2 most recent experiences.
The sandwiches & desserts are absolutely delicious however I can't say anything good about the girl taking the order at the cash on Tuesday around 6 pm. She looked so sombre. She served us without even saying hello & no smile whatsoever just that threw me off. I'm not sure if that makes me want to go back to this location.
Quick service & delicious sandwiches! I do think theybneed to lower their air-conditioner a little bit, it was absolutely freezing in the store. I understand some people might like that, but we were 3 people with different temperature tolerances & we were all freezing. Regardless, the food is great! The sandwiches are tasty. A bit on the expensive side, but it makes sense because of the quality of the ingredients.
Staple sandwich shop at the heart of the Masson street. I have doordashed from this place several times & it never disappoints. Delicious sandwiches. The philly & the diavolo are out of this world. The chicken parm & porchetta are amazing. A must try in Montreal.
