Assez déçu par mon expérience. Déjà, il ne devrait pas être possible de réserver au bar. L'ambiance est complètement différente de la salle à manger contrairement à d'autres restaurants où l'ambiance reste la même. même si le service était sympa on s'est pris plusieurs fois des glaçons dessus. Pour ce qui est des plats. Les raviolis étaient vraiment bons ainsi que le cocktail. Par contre j'ai trouvé que l'assiette était un peu vide. Bref, je ne pense pas y retourner compte tenu du rapport qualité prix très faible.View more

Stumbled in here on a rainy night & got a table for 2 without a reservation. What a treat! Fantastic service from George, our waiter. Food & wine were excellent, we really enjoyed the wild game terrine. - & if you go here be sure to have the Calvados Soufflé for dessert.View more

Very nice restaurant, however I did have higher expectations. Our waiter wasn't the friendliest which was a bit unexpected, & the food was good, but didn't blow us away. I had the rack of lamb, which was cooked to perfection, but lacked in flavor.View more

J'ai eu le plaisir d'être invitée par mon fils & son épouse au Bonaparte pour fêter mon anniversaire. C'est avec joie que nous avons été accueillis par Monsieur George dans une ambiance tout à la fois dynamique & harmonieuse. On a le sentiment d'être attendus! Le service professionnel & chaleureux de Simon, son sourire & ses suggestions furent grandement appréciés. Enfin, la cuisine est d'un très haut niveau & le chef propose une carte variée & très goûteuse. Menu dégustation très intéressant avec un accord de vin judicieux... mais malheureusement, deux services m'ont déçu, soient : leur raviolis champignons (pâtes sous cuites & sans goût avec un sérieux manque de farce aux champignons) & leur carré d'agneau très très mince demandé médium-saignant... mais reçu bleu. Mes amies & moi sommes allées souper au restaurant Bonaparte pour mon anniversaire! Dès que nous sommes rentrées, l'ambiance & le décor chic de l'hôtel nous ont tout de suite fait bonne impression! Mathieu, notre serveur a fait preuve d'un service irréprochable & d'une gentillesse incroyable! Avant de commencer, des serviettes chaudes imbibées d'huile essentielles nous ont été fournies pour se désinfecter les mains. Ensuite, Mathieu nous a fait part de ses suggestions personnelles tout en nous expliquant les principales composantes de ses plats préférés! Comme c'était mon anniversaire, j'ai eu le droit à une bougie « étincelle » sur mon dessert :) (belle attention) Nous avons commandé les raviolis de champignons, le tartare de boeuf & l'émulsion de pétoncles & de crevettes comme entrées & tout était délicieux! Je recommande de choisir les raviolis si vous voulez une entrée à partager. J'enlève une étoile, car les plats principaux que nous avons choisi: jarret d'agneau & canard étaient un peu ordinaires. Comme desserts, nous avons commandé tarte aux pommes, gâteau au fromage & mon amie voulait une salade de fruits & bien qu'elle n'était pas sur le menu, Mathieu a su répondre à sa demande! Le coup de coeur a définitivement été la tarte aux pommes :) Bref! Service is nice, but a little slow. Not a problem if you wanna drink & just chill. Food is very good. Steak tartare is very nicely done, as is the duck breast. Plating is pretty, more like an artwork. Good atmosphere too. A good place for some fine French cuisine.View more

The food was amazing, but the staff were extremely two-faced. They would be super polite, speaking English to me when checking up on me, but then the instant they finished doing so, the staff would all huddle & make fun of me in french, thinking I couldn't hear/understand them, which actually isnt true, as I understand French, I just cant speak it to the same level as they could: they made fun of the way I talked, the way I ate, the way I held my fork, the way I was dressed, my personality, & more, which felt very hurtful & attackative, to the point, where I felt like I was in an extremely uncomfortable & unsafe environment & had to ask for the bill early so that I could leave as soon as I finished my meal. & there was absolutely no reason for this, I was a very high paying customer, ordering a full course meal valuing $180 including my drink, & I was very polite to them at first, so they had no business being that rude. If you are an English native speaker, even if you speak a form of French, if it is not superfluent, I reccomend going elsewhere, as the staff here are incredibly hurtful despite their pretentious cheery demeanor, & I can guarantee that I will not be returning in the foreseeable future.View more

To start, I'm a bit of a food snob living in Manhattan. Nevertheless, a few basics. I was hankering for beef tartare & narrowed my choices to Bonaparte or Butterfly. I sat at the bar for dinner at Bonaparte. This is a pretty high end, swanky restaurant with white table cloths so I'm expecting first class service. First issue, I ordered dinner at the bar & the bartender never asked or brought me water. This should be automatic once anyone sits. I had to ask for water ten minutes in. No biggie?! Ordered beef tartare with fries. The quality of beef was fresh & top grade but under seasoned & the fries were soggy. Disappointing. I guess I'll try the beef tartare at Butterfly next time.
