About

Bombay Mahal specializes in authentic Northern Indian culinary traditions through an extensive menu of tandoori specialties and rich curries. Diners encounter a selection of clay oven roasted meats marinated in traditional yogurt and robust spice blends. The kitchen prioritizes classic techniques to prepare staples like creamy butter chicken alongside a variety of fragrant basmati rice preparations. Freshly baked naan serves as an essential component of the table, perfectly suited for scooping up intricate masalas and lentil dals. The interior features a straightforward aesthetic that focuses on the intensity of the kitchen output rather than ornamental flair. This establishment offers a direct exploration of vibrant regional flavors characterized by the measured use of ginger, garlic, and freshly toasted aromatic spices in every signature dish.

My partner & I ordered takeout: chicken biryani, a chicken roll, some mango lassi & a soft drink, plus we received complimentary bottled water.

The service was quick & friendly & our dishes were fresh & hot. The mango lassi was fresh & cold. Everything looked appetizing.

I'm no connaisseur, but I've been to parts of Northern India, where I've tried many types of food, & I enjoyed my dinner here very much. I had a veg thali plate last time & it was also very good.

For reviewers who've had a less than stellar Uber etc delivery experience, I think it's helpful to know that some food doesn't travel well for delivery. For example, some sauces separate as they cool.

Delivery & takeout seem like the main modes of service. There are some tables & chairs but they seem like they're for customers who are waiting for their orders.

The interior finish is clean, but it shows normal signs of wear. The server told me that they have been at this location for ten years. A little paint & some new upholstery would make a difference.

Overall, a good experience. Thank you!

don't listen to the butter chicken brainrot & botted reviews.

appreciate that they're open late but recommend against the vindaloo here

it's not like vindaloo I've had anywhere else, it's a weird sour bright red glorp that doesn't taste right. spice is ok but it tastes like someone forgot what vindaloo is & winged it. it was hard to extract the dry lamb cubes from this bad taste

as other reviews say, delivery was extremely salty & hard to want to get through

the garlic naan is also kinda gross, it's not slathered with garlic ghee or anything it just has crumbly garlic'powder' or residue on it? bad texture experience. much prefer tadoori delicious

edit: suspicious review practices from low review accounts seem to be struggling to keep this place above four stars... follow the Google rules...

The app didnt work for my pickup & the place looks messy & in poor condition. Servers are disorganized & butter chicken portions were scooped intentionally as only about 20% chicken & mostly sauce.
