Extremely generous food was amazing too we got the goat vindaloo & the chicken madras & they were both super tasty the quality of the meat really stood out to us both the chicken & goat was super tender & tasty I really recommend going in there & getting some food the frozen mango lassi at the end is also a great way to end the meal since it's quite spicy
I very seldom go to restaurants anymore but when I do Bombay Choupati is always at the top of my list. The food & the service are excellent; the pricing is quite fair for the quality & quantity that you get. It is a family run restaurant & it shows that they care. While I always order spicier options (like Madras or Vindaloo), their butter chicken is by far the best in the city (not the sweet, tomato-based fare found everywhere else). Their vegetarian options like Chana Masala for instance are excellent, as good as any meat-based dishes.
Haven't been here in a while, but we came tonight for my stepdads birthday & the employees were very kind as usual, & the butter chicken thali dish was delectable. Very affordable delicious Indian food, ill be coming back here soon
Picked up some spicey butter chicken & can honestly say it's the best I have ever had in my life!!! Don't mind the photo! I already ate half!! Congrats on this fantastic restaurant!
Best Indian food in West Island
The waiter was super kind
& the butter chicken was to die fo
We have been customers for many years & take out meals have generally been very good. Tonight, (week night ) we ordered for 6-7 people. It was for a family celebration. Butter chicken, rice & sides were all good but the chicken tikka was not edible. The pieces were not fresh, extremely dry, rubbery, & appeared to have been reheated. All 3 containers of chicken went into the garbage. It was a big part of the dinner. We were very disappointed tonight.
Customer service is great! Something that's missing in most restaurants nowadays. Food is insane. Butter chicken & lamb plates are a must. Will definitely come back
Another great spot that serves authentic Indian food & the butter chicken is at another level of great! Ambiance is nice & quaint & service is very good
food = YUMMY spice level = HOT owner = HELLA CHILL been coming here for years since i graduated high school. i thought i was a tough dude picking the medium spice level butter chicken only to be defeated by the spice level. i trained & tested myself to the point where i can now handle the medium level spice with little effort. if you think you're HIM, try eating the vindaloo i promise you're gonna explode. owner always makes fun of me but i appreciate the guy i love this place
This was my first time, & I'll definitely come back. The owner Jay was very nice, & even though he wasn't our waiter, he made sure to come see us & ask if everything was fine at our table. I loved the butter chicken. Highly recommend
Best Indian food in the west island. I love the spicy goat vindaloo, but my family prefers the butter chicken. You can specify the heat level for every dish. (I learned not to ask for max spicy for the vindaloo!). The family is friendly & welcoming.
Small place, probably the best butter chicken in the province. Naan are to die food. & the food is just simply amazing. Familly run, super friendly & nice. highly recommend
This place is a gem. It is always busy & when you taste the food, you know why. The portions are generous, & everything is delicious. My husband is never going back to eating any other butter chicken, I enjoyed the Bataka Vada entré, we shared some goat-super tender & tasty- & my Vindaloo Chicken was awesome & spicy. Our friends loved their Tika Chicken & Tandoori...you see everything is delish! & a nice selection for vegetarians as well! Highly recommended... They don't take reservations, so you may have to come early or run the chance of having to wait in line. In the meantime, this has turned into my husband's favorite Indian Restaurant (he won't go to another one) & he usually orders the butter chicken, which is creamier here than anywhere else. Just go & eat there, you won't regret it
I had the Butter Chicken Combo & Masala Dosa. The chicken was dry & stringy but the sauce was deliciously rich & creamy. The naan bread & spinach were average. The Masala Dosa was okay but I've had better elsewhere. Portions for both dishes were generous.
Great food, great service, benches are a little uncomfortable but it's worth it for the butter chicken.
Absolute perfection. We came on a super busy Friday night & received quick & friendly service! The food was just incredible & cooked with love. We will be back over & over again. Highly recommend the vindaloo & butter chicken!

I've eaten a lot of butter chicken in my life & no restaurant has ever come close to beating my mothers. My mother had passed away many years ago & I never learned to cook butter chicken from her & had lost the taste for good, homemade, butter chicken. I went to Bombay Choupati for the first time with some family & I always stick to the basic order of butter chicken because I miss the taste of home. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined a place to have such savory, delicious & fragrant butter chicken. Just from the smell, you become hypnotized & the taste was just breathtaking, from the tender chicken to the creamy sauce, I could not find a single imperfection. For the first time in my life, I tasted a butter chicken similar .... scratch that, better than my mothers butter chicken. I haven't stopped going back ever since. A gentle reminder of home.
The staff were super friendly & great. Yes, its a small place & maybe a little cramped but once that food arrives ... I promise you, it is 100% worth the wait.

Googled the best Indian restaurants on the West Island & came up with the highest rated: Bombay Choupati. Went to order pick-up. Genually friendly greeting upon arrival. The restaurant was packed for a Wednesday night. Took a little while for the food because it was so busy, but when I got home & tasted the food, it was amazing! Rice was light & fluffy, the curried vegetables delicious & the flavours of the Madras chicken perfectly spiced with just enough heat & light & fluffy naan bread. I had enough food for two meals & looked forward to my second helping tonight. All in all very delicious food at a modest price. I'll be back. That's a definite! Kudos to the chefs & owners.

The food was amazing & so was the service.
We had the Masala dosa to share as an appetizer, then the goat Madras, Aloo Goobi, rice, tandoori naan, & butter chicken. It was the best Indian food I've had not in India. Delicious. We even had leftovers we got to enjoy at home for lunch.
