Review Summary

Reviewers describe Bombay Choupati as consistently outstanding, with the butter chicken frequently called the best ever and the masala dosa a favorite, while dosas and other dishes are praised for a homemade taste and authentic Indian flavors; takeout and dine-in are described as reliable, and service is often noted as friendly and attentive, making it a longtime favorite for many years. A few reports mention a disappointing night when chicken tikka was dry and not edible, affecting the meal, and one note mentions a closure in August for a family emergency. Overall the sentiment is highly positive and many readers call it the best Indian option on West Island.

If you want to feel like home, this is the place to be, very hospitable staff & owners, great homestyle food, amazing & tasty dosas & combo dishes.

Service is really really good! That definitely amplifies the dining experience! The bataka wada & chaat was delicious! Dosa was a bit greasy. Will be back to try other dishes.

I had the Butter Chicken Combo & Masala Dosa. The chicken was dry & stringy but the sauce was deliciously rich & creamy. The naan bread & spinach were average. The Masala Dosa was okay but I've had better elsewhere. Portions for both dishes were generous.

The best Indian restaurant in the West Island ! The host & the staff are super nice & hospitable & want to ensure you have the best time. Their Madrasi dishes are amazing & our favorite are the incredible crispy doses! I love the coconut chutney :) We've come here many times & look forward to trying everything on the menu. A perfect venue to come with family & enjoy authentic Indian food.

By far the best indian restaurant in Montreal (so far!). Food is really authentic, with distinct fresh flavours & not your typical fad dishes. There are some dishes that i had never had, e.g. papri chat. So.. some true discoveries to be had.
It is not a very big place but they are very accomodating. Waiter is lovely, despite being rushed off his feet. Cooks also pop their faces out at times & are lovely & smiley too. You can tell this is fresh home-made food with love. Will definitely go again & try the rest.

The best Indian restaurant i have ever been too. The food is delicious. We ordered 3 different dishes & they were all great. The goat meat was melting in my mouth, the Dosa was amazing & perfect amount of spices. While the food is amazing, the service was the best as well; super friendly atmosphere. I cannot say enough how good it all is.
The only downside is that they have a small space & so if you don’t go early enough, you might have to wait in line. But the wait worth it :)

Oh god, I love this place.

I have been coming here for about a year since I discovered it, & plan to continue doing that for as long as they will have me.

Basically, Bombay Choupatti serves some unique dishes that are simply not available at regular Indian Restaurant. You can't find Bombay Bhel or any Masala Dosas anywhere else that I know of. On top of the refreshing aspect of the dishes, they are prepared beautifully & seem very authentic.

The amount of food for the money is staggering as well. I would honestly pay over twice as much as they are charging & still be super happy.

All my friends I forced to go were happy as well.

Hands down best Indian place on the island. We absolutely loved the food, & especially for the price! You can not find better value anywhere! They have many unique & delicious dishes that you'd be hard pressed to find at the more run of the mill Indian restaurants. The service is always warm & welcoming. We are repeat customers!
