Manuel Martins, ex owner and Chef of «Le Vintage», is back with a new concept, at a new address. The Boca Iberica is located on Rachel Street, right in the heart of Le Plateau. As soon as you walk in you will be astonished by the modern and trendy look enhanced by soft lounge music, a beautiful bar, and the smell of a cuisine blend of Portuguese and Spanish flavors.
The dishes on the menu are made from a great selection of tasty fresh tapas and an array of fresh fishes. We will be most happy to welcome groups celebrating any events. We also offer gluten-free dishes. Our restaurant stays open late so you can fully benefit of your evening.

I had lunch on the terrace which was lovely. The calamar stuffed with chorizo was fabulous as were both the soup (exceptional) & salad. The service was excellent. One of the best Portuguese restaurants in Montreal. Next time I'll go in the evening & eat inside where the decor is very chic.
Nous avons passé une belle soirée mais la qualité de la cuisine était de deux étoiles ½ ce soir-là. Les pétoncles étaient réellement trop cuits, les crevettes ne méritent aucune mention, le ris aux fruits de mer était d'un quelconque, les coquillages servis en dessous de tiède, ils avaient manifestement trop attendu. Le riz, servi chaud, n'avait aucun goût, rien de maritime dans le bouillon dans lequel il baignait, la grosse crevette (appelons là ainsi) servi avec la tête était spectaculaire mais quelconque au goût, Les aubergines étaient sucrées (passons pour la cuisine de ce superbe légume comme les portugais savent le servir, il était noyé par le goût de la cane). Les calmars étaient corrects mais servi vraiment en portion lilliputiennes (& je ne suis pas un fervent des grosses portions) Les ris de veau manquaient de fraicheur, hyper cuit, mou en bouche & inondé de sel (le chef s'était lâché lousse...). Les palourdes méritaient une belle mention, c'est le seul plat qui se démarquait, maintenant à 17$ pour cette petite portion c'était peu raisonnable pour ce type de cuisine. Les rapinis étaient corrects. La pieuvre grillée aussi mais la cuisson avait laissé des traces & le morceau servi, d'une belle portion pour le prix ($16), avait durci & se laissait mastiquer longuement contrairement à ce que l'on peut s'attendre. Le pain était excellent, servi sans que l'on en redemande. Le service attentif & très sympathique, l'eau servi de façon attentive. On était loin, très loin du Portugal. Peut-être une mauvaise soirée en cuisine, le restaurant était loin, très loin d'être achalandé pourtant. Deux bouteilles de vin, à des prix très raisonnables, $333 pour 4 personnes avec le pourboire, à vous de voir.

We came again with friends to have dinner & we were received with great warmth although it was only our second time. We chose 5 tapas & 4 meals; each Was more delicious than the other. Excellent attentive service & they accommodated our dietary restrictions/ preferences in the dishes. The beer is amazing. The wine is very good. Looking very forward to go again
