I have been coming to this restaurant since looong time ago; when they relocated from avenue parc to Lasalle, which then became too far from me back then & recently I visited twice within the last 2 weeks.

Bottom line, still the same great place & this is the Authentic Japanese restaurant run by Japanese family. To those of you who love sushi saying that you love fried dragon Maki roll with lots of mayo sauce, you may find it blend. You may say you like Japanese food but you don't want to eat raw fish or seaweed you will still find several options here, & one thing for sure I guarantee, for the price & quality you get in this place, it is rare & this is very close to what you can expect to eat in Japan.

You will find variety of fresh fish options for sushi, not just common type of salmon, tuna, crab meat & sweet omelet; you will find mackerel, scallop, squid, yellow tail & etc where you can eat them raw only when they are extremely fresh otherwise you will get sick. (See if you can find them at your all you can eat sushi restaurants). Other dishes including grilled chicken screwers, grilled squid, tuna carpaccio, unagi pie (grilled eel & spinach in a puff pastry with teriyaki sauce), Everything is perfectly seasoned, well prepared, & ultimately, their sushi rice is always perfectly cooked & seasoned. ( had enough of those places with soggy rice & they still roll their maki).

I highly recommend this place & I will still be a repeat customer.

This was the most authentic isakaya & I'm here for it! From the ambiance to the service it was a real Japanese culinary experience. The grilled mackerel & tonkotsu ramen was delicious. We tried their vegetarian ramen with tofu as well as their fried tofu starter. We will try more of their menu items! A must try in Montreal!

Definitely a hidden gem! The dining room was open despite the sign on the door - we almost left because of the sign but glad we didn't! The food was great & authentic, & the restaurant itself was cute & clean. Service was very good too. Five stars!!

Hidden gem. Run & owned by local Japanese family. A neighborhood hood restaurant. While not an extensive sushi list what they do serve is first & foremost fresh , affordable , good quality sushi. The "must tries" here are when you try the daily specials & their authentic Japanese tapas style menu listings : spinach , burdock root , agadashi eggplant , chicken balls , torched salmon to name a few . The non sushi menu items are scrumptious making this place enjoyable for all. Easy parking. Casual & affordable . Family , date night or get together for whatever the occasion.

Really authentic Japanese food. The kind of food you want like going to Tokyo. The ten don is amazing & try hamachikama. It's the best in this place. Don't forget Tsukune with Asahi. You will love it. Very generous portion, too.
