Went there for our 3 year anniversary. Was our first time there & could not rave more about it. A really friendly, warm & cozy atmosphere. The food & cocktails were delicious. We highly recommend!Voir plus
Dinner with the family was fantastic. All the menu items with frites are to be sampled. Broad wine list with helpful staff that know there stuff. Service was spot on. Hanger steak is the best I have had. Order plates & share with the table is the best way to enjoy. The ambience is perfect for an evening with family or friends. A truly great eating experience.
A must try restaurant in Montreal. Everything was perfect. The food, the service. There oysters were very fresh & delicious. The halloumi, never had such a good halloumi Mains we had the ravioli & beef tartare with fries, highly recommended.Voir plus

Vraiment sûr côté, merci aux réseaux sociaux. Prix prohibitifs, 200$ pour un repas sans vin , sans dessert c est juste exagéré. Si encore à ce prix l expérience était extraordinaire, mais ce faire sévir par des serveuses en crocs a ce tarif c est impensable. La nourriture n a rien de particulier, voir même pas terrible. Je ne recommande vraiment pas, encore une belle escroquerie. Sans oublier le tip de 18% car le 15% n h est plus.Voir plus

Louie is so talented! The steak & pasta & chicken liver mousse (I can go on) is the best in Montreal (full honest). Wine gal Renee is very knowledgeable-listen to her! I love this place so much- I go all the time. So much heart & hard working folks. Can't wait till my next visit!Voir plus
Totally on point! Excellent service, fabulous family feeling ambience, tremendous food from start to finish. We ate everything...we are still here & if they would let me, I would have a nap (chairs & banquettes are super comfy) & order more fries in an hour ...& probably more cod...& the dessert! Visiting Montreal after many years & quite disappointed at this highly rated restaurant- booked last min & got a spot in the night, when we got in another 5 mins waiting by the door which was fine, then we sat down & I ordered the ravioli it was mediocre & I tried ordering beef tartare finding it was sold out! First time dining at a place that sells out which looks like they are not prepared for meeting the capacity of customers, I then ordered halloumi but it was too sweet & I couldn't keep eating after finishing half. The sorbet was quite good I guess it made up for the bad mains. I left the resto with a hungry stomach & don't think it's worth $90 for what I got. Also I had to yell the entire time because I couldn't hear my friend due to the extremely loud atmosphere. Service was slow I had to ask three waitresses the same question on whether my dish will be delivered.....won't go backVoir plus
It's very rare that I am truly WOWED by a restaurant. Le franquette is a WOW. The sea bass is by far one of the best fish that I have ever tasted in my life (including my travels around Europe). Not only is the food incredible but the staff are so delightful. We experienced nothing but smiles, positivity & warmth. We will 100% be coming back soon. I also appreciated how diligent the restaurant was with verifying if there were any dietary restrictions or allergies. Prior to our meal, the restaurant even took the time to call us to ask us if we had any restrictions as well as if we were celebrating a special occasion. This attention to detail does not go unnoticed & is unique to the bistro. Ps. Yes you NEED the fries.Voir plus
Finally making a point of adding this review after countless meals that were absolutely superb. Louie & Renee know exactly what they're doing & they do it so well. If you are looking for an unpretentious vibe with great music, where you will simultaneously be blown away by unique & truly delicious food - Franquette is your answer. One of my few favourite restaurants in Montreal. Everything from the food to the service is A+. Me & my girlfriend have come here many times - the food & service always holds up. My personal favourite dish is the hangar steak. Good job to everybody who works here - keep it up :)Voir plus
