About us

Established for over twenty years, the bistro des bières belges is housed in an authentic Canadian house of over 150 years old. The original house was a railway station, then a farm house where the current mezzanine served as a grain warehouse.

For several years, different businesses have occupied the site. On the menu, you'll find mussels which are famous to this bistro. They are prepared to your liking, with one of the thirteen house recipes and served with excellent mayonnaise french fries. While maintaining a Belgian touch, the bistro also offers grilled meats and local Quebecois products. To compliment your meal you'll have a choice of over 100 imported beers, the majority of which come from Belgium.

Come see the different categories: White, Fruity, Blondes, Amber, Brown and Pressure. In addition, a fine selection of wines is available. The bistro gives out a warm welcome in an old house with a beautiful garden terrace in the summer. You're invited to discover a small corner of Belgium on the South Shore. See you soon!

We had a wonderful & tasty meal. The mussels are always a hit with my family. I had a pork dish that was cooked in maple syrup with chorizo sausage. Off the charts good! The service was amazing. The staff was friendly, helpful & attentive. A big shout out to Florence, Simon & Chris!

Un menu varié & adapté aux besoins des personnes souffrant de la maladie coeliaque!

J'ai récemment eu l'occasion de dîner au Bistro Des Bières Belges avec mon grand-père, qui est coeliaque. Nous avons été agréablement surpris par la variété du menu, qui propose plus de 20 choix de repas principaux sans gluten. La serveuse Angélie était très gentille & attentionnée aux besoins de mon grand-père, s'assurant qu'il n'y ait pas de contamination croisée & qu'il puisse profiter de son repas en toute sécurité.

Le service était impeccable, rapide & efficace. La serveuse Angélie était toujours souriante & disponible pour répondre à nos questions. L'ambiance du restaurant est très agréable, avec une décoration moderne & une musique douce.

* Un excellent rapport qualité-prix
Les prix sont très abordables pour la qualité de la nourriture & du service. Nous avons tous les deux apprécié nos plats, qui étaient délicieux & bien présentés.

* Je recommande vivement le Bistro Des Bières Belges à tous ceux qui souffrent de la maladie coeliaque

Le Bistro des bières belges est un endroit ou on peut découvrir la cuisine & les bières belges. La cuisine est simple & bonne & c'est toujours très gourmand. L'ambiance est agréable ( l'été, demandez la terrasse) & on y passe toujours un très bon moment.
Pensez à réserver, c'est toujours plein.

It was the 1st time I dine at the restaurant. Nicely built all wood, it reminded me of Alps houses & cottages. Food & service were good. BUT I saw a picture on Google for another restaurant under your name & I wonder 🤔 why you keep it 🤔

On a eu du bon service & l'endroit est charmant. Chacun a aimé son repas. Personnellement, j'ai pu découvrir une nouvelle saveur de bière aux agrumes & j'ai aimé. Nous étions à l'étage. L'endroit est rustique & d'ailleurs, le plancher d'époque provoque un petit effet de houle quand on est debout & que quelqu'un passe.

I will be coming back here. Great selection of beers if you just want to come for a drink, a very nice wine list of you want some nice wine with your food. Then a great selection of food to eat as well. I really liked the warm atmosphere of the place. Top ratings from me.

Could never ask for better... Best drinks,food & service... The best!!! This review is 9 years later on December 22,2024 This restaurant is still a gem it was better than the first time I can't believe we waited 9 years to go back. The food is just out of this world & the service is always phenomenal but this time the service from Angélie was the Best . I recommend this restaurant to everyone
