Wow! I very seldomly leave reviews but felt the need to review Birdhouse. I pass by this place almost everyday & have heard great things about it. Sometimes as the old saying goes, why fix what's not broken, we tend to stick to our regular spots as we know what to expect & don't walk away disappointed & feeling cheated out of spending money & not enjoying our dinner like has happened on many occasions from other restos. Last Saturday, I decided, to surprise my wife & take her here for dinner after she finished work as she had been mentioning she would like to go for some time. Let me say, we were not disappointed in the slightest. In fact, we can't wait to come back. We tried the maple heat wings which were sweet as you'd expect when ordering something that has maple syrup. I personally didn't taste much spice but spice hits different people different ways & I'm used to spicy where as my wife isn't. I will however be ordering the Dr. Evil wings next time, for myself. My wife ordered the fish tacos & myself the Buffalo Mac N Cheese & both dishes were AMAZING. My son wasn't with us on this occasion but I made sure to let him know how good the Mac n cheese was & he can't wait to try it. The drinks were good also. All in all, a great spot to eat & will definitely be amongst the regular diners we frequent. From top to bottom, we were extremely happy with the experience & can't wait to come back for more

It was our fist time there but for sure not out last! Amazing service, food was delicious, the owner walks around asking if everything is ok. 10/10!

The food was very good. At our table, we ordered wings, 2x 3 piece chicken dinners as well as the Buffalo chicken tacos & a side of sweet potato fries. The portions were very well sized for the value.
This was our first time there. The chicken was appropriately crispy & not oily.

I think the next time we will agree on a few items & share them with the table.

We sat on the right-hand side of the restaurant & there was a gigantic TV, the size of the wall as much as it was impressive, it was very distracting & the lighting from the TV images was strange as we were almost sitting under it. If you are there to watch a game & eat, perfect! But if you are going with friends or family & not interested in the game, slightly annoying.

Overall, we liked the place & would go back!

Tried their poutine with bone marrow & it was not that great IMO. The bone marrow was completely dried & there was no marrow. Basically got a bone on top for decoration. Fries was dried & it seems to be all the tips & little bits. I don't plan to go back.

Birdhouse is amazing. Always a great experience. The atmosphere, the staff, & the food is top notch. Organizational standards set by Lorne & George are at the highest level

I made a reservation for 6:30 & arrived exactly on time. I was immediately told we could only sit at the bar. The restaurant was at 40% capacity at most. When I expressed that I would rather a table I was told I can have "this middle table" or sit outside. We chose to sit outside despite my husband wanting to watch the game. The waitress was friendly & attentive however, this is my second time at this restaurant & the first time the food was delectable. We took the same thing as last time & we we're very disappointed. The burger was undercooked & lukewarm the poutine was extremely salty. Unfortunately we will not be returning as it is a long drive & we came for the good food, this time was just overall disappointing.

First time & definitely not the last! We all loved the ambiance, music & the food was delish! I ordered the chicken tacos....so flavorful! My husband & daughter had the wings & loved them!

We came here with friends who are regular diners & it did not disappoint. The menu had plenty of options to choose from & our table ordered a broad range of items so it was cool to see & hear from everyone how they enjoyed their meal.

The place has a really cool vibe & we were enjoying watching the music videos that were playing on the giant tv. The music was a tad loud so it was hard to hear the whole table, but it may have been the time & day we went (Friday, dinner)

Service was great, food came out pretty quickly & everything I had was delicious. Portions were just right.

Would definitely return next time we're in the area
