While numerous visitors highlight the impeccable, friendly, and attentive service, the restaurant is consistently described as being very cramped, with tables placed closely together, which can lead to high noise levels and a lack of privacy. Although the vast majority of guests have a wonderful experience, some feedback notes inconsistencies in food quality, such as burnt crusts or overly salty sauces, and occasional frustrations regarding reservation availability and unexpected pricing surcharges.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. I have been many times. Today was my birthday so we were 5 ladies, reservation was at 6.
It took 15 minutes before a waitress came to our table. Then another 15 minutes for dessert (1 dessert). I asked for an Espresso martini, the waitress looked at her watch & told us the reservation was for 2 hours…… it was 7:35!
We cancelled the martini & asked for the bill.
Another amazing experience at Bernie's Pizza Martini Bar. Anthony is a top tier waiter & really cares about his clients. We had a gluten restriction (celiac) & he & the owner made sure the kitchen processed our order in a way that was up to par to ensure everything went smoothly for us. The cocktails & mocktails are absolutely divine, as well as the caesar salad, burrata dip & fun guy pizza. Food is out of this world, Anthony's service always makes us come back & the ambiance is straight out of the 80's in the best way possible. Always coming back here!

Ici on vient surtout pour l'ambiance. Un genre de 5 à 7-souper-boire un verre-musique qui donne une belle adresse pour sortir avec les amis & prendre quelques Martinis (bon choix varié) & partager une pizza sise au milieu de la table.
On aime bien la musique qui est présente, orte, mais pas trop.
Le service qui est courtois, rapide & présent.
La nourriture qui est bonne sans être'wow' car ce n'est pas le but ultime de l'adresse.
Petite note pour le service: avisez quand il y a un extra. Le Dirty Magtini avec la tequila est bon, mais la shot de 8$ pour la tequila proposée par notre serveur aurait dû être menaitonnée. Même chose pour la vodka à 3$.
Mis à part les suppléments'surprise' le tout demeure très sympa.

SUPER YUMMY! Our waiter was Anthony & he was amazing. I have gluten restrictions & he made me feel confident in the food I was ordering & catered to my restrictions impeccably. He also answered every question we had with confidence & if he wasn't sure, he asked. The gluten free crust on the pizza is also divine & don't get me started on their dirty martinis, WOW!! Overall a very good experience & would deem it an amazing first date spot. Definitely recommend Anthony as a waiter & get a dirty martini😋
Bernie's Pizza Martini Bar what can I say.. The West-Island needed a spot like this. Cool atmosphere, unpretentious vibe, straightforward menu, good food & drinks & excellent friendly service. I would recommend reserving if you want to be guaranteed a table as this place was still full past 10pm.
I loved the atmosphere. It was like a slice of downtown in the West Island. The 70s decor & vibes were great. Martinis were well-crafted, pizza was fresh & tasty & staff was friendly.
Bernie's Pizza Martini Bar is clearly doing something right, expect to wait even with a reservation, as the place is packed even on quieter nights. Kudos to management for creating that level of demand.
I went with a large group, which gave us the chance to try several items. Overall, the food is good, not great. Since this is oven-style pizza, some traditional pies, like the margherita, lose a bit of authenticity. In my opinion, the choice of cheese is what holds the pizzas back. It felt somewhat processed & affected the overall flavor.
We tried the funghi, margherita, hot pepper, & classic veggie pizzas. On the plus side, the burrata was excellent, very creamy & flavorful, & easily one of the highlights of the meal.
The atmosphere is cozy with a fun vibe, making it a great spot for date nights or big groups. The staff were very friendly, & there's a strong selection of wines, cocktails, & mocktails. It's a little on the pricey side, but still worth the visit.
Overall, a solid experience. With a different mozzarella, I genuinely think the pizzas could be top-notch.
