Bernie's Pizza Martini Bar is widely celebrated for its vibrant atmosphere, stylish decor, and exceptional service. Guests frequently highlight the delicious, thin-crust pizzas, refreshing Caesar salads, and creative selection of martinis as standout menu items. While the restaurant is consistently busy and creates a lively, energetic environment perfect for socializing with friends or celebrating special occasions, some diners note that the indoor space can become quite loud and tables are positioned closely together. Reservations are highly recommended to secure a spot at this popular West Island destination, which many patrons describe as a reliable favorite for consistently good food and memorable experiences.
Nice pizza spot in the West Island! I've heard a lot about his place so decided to try it & not disappointed. We started with some of the truffle fries & drinks, I think the fries could have had more flavour to them, & Parmesan for parm fries, cocktails were very good.
For the pizza we noticed other guests who had done half half so we were able to do that as well (although the waitress did not mention it, would have been good to know at the beginning) so we did half the verde & half the spicy pepperoni & was super delicious! They cut essentially square pieces that make it easy to pick up & eat, & share with someone else. I did find the fries a bit more oily that average, as well as the pizza (I had a pretty good grease pool on my little plate that dripped off the pizza) which was the downside for me, otherwise flavour was good. I would definitely come back. We sat outside on the terasse which was nice, when I went in to use the bathroom I realized inside the resto it was very noisy. I would definitely recommend a reservation as it was full the whole time.
Great place for a good bite. Drinks are good & priced fair. The restaurant indoors is a little too loud . Barely can't hear yourself think .overall. A great place to have a good pizza.
The food is really good & very delicious. The service is very fast & really polite. The drinks are also super delicious. The hot pepperoni pizza has a great taste & spice to it as well as the barbeque one. & the Caesar salad is really refreshing. The garlic rolls are absolutely delicious.
This place never disappoints. My friends & I came to eat & have some drinks on a very last minute & the staff did not fail to accommodate! The food is always amazing but this time we got the mixed salad, burrata dip, meat balls, chicken sliders, & the italian verde pizza & our previous expectations were exceeded. Our service by Sam was excellent & our server was quick, thorough, & super helpful. Would recommend any day of the week & will definitely be coming back!
I recently visited Bernie's Pizza Bar & unfortunately left underwhelmed. The caesar salad was over-dressed, with unevenly distributed sauce-some leaves were drenched while others had thick clumps of dressing pooled at the base, making it unpleasant to eat.
The cocktails were also disappointing. I ordered one with cranberry juice & ginger, but it barely had any ginger flavor. Overall, the drinks felt mediocre & not particularly well-balanced.
As for the pizza, it was just okay-nothing memorable or exciting. There are definitely better options elsewhere if you're looking for standout pizza.
The space itself is quite small, & you shouldn't expect to get in without a reservation. Even with one, we were given a poorly placed table right in the middle of foot traffic. As people squeezed past, they brushed against our table, dragged their jackets across our dishes, & even shifted our plates, which made the whole experience feel cramped & intrusive.
Overall, not a terrible experience, but not one I'd rush to repeat.
