Was my first time having breakfast at this place. My husband & I were seated next to the kitchen area. The atmosphere wasn't great. Our server wasn't friendly & was slow to take our order. She looked tired. We observed her talking to visitors at one point, not paying attention to customers. I asked for syrup for my french toast & she brought me a small amount. Afterwards on the bill I discovered I was charged $2.50 extra. At the prices being charged for the plate, syrup should be free. The server never advised me that there would be an extra charge. She then told me it was because it was maple syrup & not table syrup. Again, she could have asked me which one I wanted beforehand instead of assuming. Would not return to this restaurant.
I was a regular at this location for a while now, love the serving & greeting staff & know them by name. few weeks ago, i was there on a weekend which is the usual & ordered my usual waffle with nutella instead of english cream, the new waitress came back to advice me that I will be charged $1.50 for the change. I was taken by surprise as they never told me that nor was I charged (it's the principle not how much). I asked to speak to the manager (I believe his name is Michael), who was rude & arrogant. Michael pretended not to recognize me as he served around our section several times (its funny for a manager not to be perceptive eah) then he went on to saying oh the girl that served you & didn't charge is no longer here WOW, really!!! He was dismissive, lacked customer service etiquette & empathy, my mistake was that I should've walked out with the order hanging on his head, but I am respectful of the rest of the staff that had to prepare & serve me my breakfast. I never went back & will not. I wonder how people like him get promoted while the others if you ask me more qualified with their level of customer service.
J'imagine qu'il manquait du personnel mais cela n'as pas été notre meilleure expérience. & nous sommes un client fidèle de cette bannière à déjeuner. Très long à être servi même si le restaurant n'était pas plein. & plusieurs choses étaient froide & le café trop faible. Nous étions de passage à Laval, mais nos préféré sont Candiac & Carignan. Ou c'est toujours excellent.
Ça fait maintenant plusieurs années que mon conjoint & moi allons à ce restaurant & bien que nous apprécions particulièrement les choix au menu de cette chaîne de restauration (choix végé!), ce qui me donne envie de donner une aussi bonne évaluation c'est l'équipe de serveurs/serveuses. Toujours très courtois, à l'écoute & respectueux. C'est toujours un plaisir d'y retourner.
