It's THE spot to go if you are in Laurier area. It's a good spot for dates, friendly chilling & even family gatherings. At BEDEN, you feel like you are part of the family. The friendliest service ever! Diana (the owner) should get an award of the sweetest & best service :) I recommend : All their vietnamese coffee Poutine (they use sweet potato frieds with asian ingredients) Banh Mi (just wow!) PATÉ CHAUD OBLIGATOIRE! Like this is one of the best I've tried so far in my life & it's top 1. I'm definitely going back to try more lf their vietnamese coffee variant!
Latté egg Latté durian Impeccable!!! Poutine char siu, banh mi = WOW 😋😋😋
Peppered pork puff pastry was something you could get out of London, definitely good quality. Fried rice & Imperial roll were alright by themselves but perfect with added nem & chinese sausage. Lemongrass Banh mi was delicious.
It's hard to not fall in love with the charm of Bêden Càphê. From the decor, to the food & to the welcoming staff, this place will easily become your go-to coffee shop. I have tasted multiple coffee styles, drinks, meals: they are all tasty & provide that comforting sensation. I love that it is family friendly with a chill cozy vibe. It is also a great place to sit & work at. You can also feel that the staff, especially Bê cares for her customers. She will learn your name & will remember your order for the next time. I highly recommend to go in the morning & get your hands on the croissant bánh mì. I could basically it that every morning. Their signature egg coffee & bê matcha are delicious, but I would also recommend to try the taro fog. You won't be disappointed!
A very beautifully & elaborately decorated cafe including a snack wall, vintage couches, & a fully functional piano (which someone played very well while I was there). I immediately tried the first Banh Mi sandwich on the menu & enjoyed every mouth-watering, delectable bite of it. Of course, I washed it down with a coffee. This is the first time I've had Vietnamese coffee with egg. I don't even usually drink coffee, but I absolutely loved this & tried to recreate it at home later the same day. (with limited success 😅) I was very satisfied after that glorious sandwich & coffee, but I needed to try more, so I went for the Matcha Taro iced tea. Quality matcha with a deep, vivid flavor & a lovely taro cream. Since we have an obsessive need to try as many places as possible, it's unusual for us to return to an establishment, but this one made it to the go-to list of cafés.
Belle expérience, banh mi savoureux 🌶️🌶️ Je recommande fortement. Staff, accueillant & agréable.
Oh wow ! I had such an amazing experience here. The young lady that helped me is from Vietnam & I remember just getting the best service while there. The banhi mi with patè was absolutely amazing & I really loved my matcha with condensed coconut milk. Highly recommend coming here. Also the decor is cute, & it was it not crowded when I went.
Incredible little coffee shop that serves delectable Banh Mi's & very good vermicelli bowls. Also the bubble tea is huge! I definitely will be going back for lunch.
It was so good that we didn't think about taking pictures. Delicious, fresh, many flavours & textures. We had 2 different viet coffee, a banh mi & a bao for brunch. The owner was super nice & explained her family story. Our baby was welcomed too. We'll come back for sure !
This place is simply amazing! Once you enter the café, you are transported to a tastefully decorated café with the sweetest owner. We fell in love with the book wall & piano corner. The owner actually takes the time to explain everything if you are indecisive like us! She truly cares about her customers & makes us very welcomed! The food & drinks are amazing, innovating, & just delicious! No wonder they have so many regular customers, I would go every day if I lived close by. A must try is their croissant banh mi, a nice twist to the classic banh mi, it's original & works perfectly! The pâté so is a must! Trust me! Their drink selections is getting bigger & bigger with the mastermind (owner) behind them who keeps coming up with new ideas, we love that! Vietname coffee with condensed milk is a must, reminds us of Vietnam itself! A true gem on Laurier. You go for the drinks/food, stay for the lovely owner who wil become your new bestfriend!
Okay... I grew up around Vietnamese food & I visited Vietnam back in 2018. Imagine my excitement when I discovered this newly opened Vietnamese cafe this year! I only had an egg coffee which was delicious! My friend ordered the banh-mi & he said it is better than his favourite Vietnamese banh-mi place at jean-talon. The food is close to authentic, so I'm over the moon. It's a bit far from where Iive, so I can't come often. Whenever I pass by this neighborhood, I'll definitely stop by this place to grab something to eat.
I visited the coffee shop today for lunch. The tofu banh mi was so delicious with the sauce & vegetable toppings on it!! I would recommend trying it out if you're looking for a good alternative to the typical banh mi. I also had a cup of oloong fog, not too bitter or sweet, just perfect. Great environment, would definitely return for a small work session with friends or a meal! Edit: Thank you to the owner for the reply & clarification! Luckily, I am ok with the oyster sauce, no harm done. Removing the vegan words above for anyone else reading.
Everything from this cute coffee shop is done with beautiful taste! The menu is so original & tasty! I was sad to discover this place at the end of our trip; living in the USA, I wish we can have a coffee shop as good as this one. The first time I went there with my Vietnamese mom & she ordered the Banh Mi. She loved it!! I also tasted my sister's salted egg coffee, it was divine! Perfect balance between sweet & a bit of salty. I had a bubble tea, which was very good. The second time I took the durian cappucino & it was just so delicious! The durian was not too overpowering & was present to add extra yumminess to the cappucino.
Belle ambiance :)
