I went the first time there in December for a cup of Vietnamese coffee & a tiramisu. As I really enjoyed the experience & I returned with a group of friends & I tried the best wonton soup of Montreal & some Vietnamese sweets. Last week, I tried a banh mi & it exceeded all my expectations. The owner & her staff are very nice & they are always ready to help you when one doesn't know the Vietnamese gastronomy (my case). I highly recommend this coffee shop!View more

What a great coffee shop! You can bring your laptop to study or work here, there's plugs everywhere available & free WiFi. There's so much variety offered for every kind of taste buds, but I came specifically to try their signature Vietnamese egg coffee. It was great & definitely hit the spot. Then out of nowhere, a pianist started playing, changing from one tune to the next seamlessly, it was such a vibe!View more

We got the pâté chaud & the veggie soup as appetizers. I highly recommend the pâté chaud, it's soooo flavorful. The soup had a good coriander taste.
Good combination of many flavors in the tofu bánh mì. The outer bread is crispy contrasting the moisture & the juicyness of the filling inside.
Same thing for the Bêgels (we got Nem bêgel), it's an unexpected but delicious'fusion' of Vietnamese flavors with Montreal bagel, so good!
We got the hojicha latte & the Vietnamese egg coffee, so good & creamy!
They also sell snacks, teas, & Vietnamese coffee (instant, beans, grounded).
Nice, cute & cozy ambiance. I like the decoration with nón lá, good representation of Vietnam.View more

I absolutely loved my experience at Beden Caphe! Their new breakfast menu is amazing-my favorites were the fluffy bêgels with Vietnamese sausages, BBQ pork, & Italian charcuterie, plus the buttery croissant with homemade Vietnamese charcuterie. The drinks were just as incredible, especially the Vietnamese egg latté & matcha white chocolate.
The owner is the sweetest person ever-so warm & caring, she made sure everything was perfect. If you're in Montreal, you have to check out this spot at 1708 Laurier Ave E. Highly recommend!View more

Beautifully decorated Vietnamese coffee shop. The pâté chaud was among the best I've tasted, it's flavourful, crispy & flaky. There was a generous amount of filling inside their Banh Mi, which was delicious as well. Their Vietnamese iced coffee was a little bit too sweet for my taste (too much condensed milk), but good nevertheless.View more

At BEDEN, you feel like you are part of the family. The friendliest service ever! A very beautifully & elaborately decorated cafe including a snack wall, vintage couches, & a fully functional piano (which someone played very well while I was there). I immediately tried the first Banh Mi sandwich on the menu & enjoyed every mouth-watering, delectable bite of it. Of course, I washed it down with a coffee. This is the first time I've had Vietnamese coffee with egg. I don't even usually drink coffee, but I absolutely loved this & tried to recreate it at home later the same day. (with limited success 😅) I was very satisfied after that glorious sandwich & coffee, but I needed to try more, so I went for the Matcha Taro iced tea. Quality matcha with a deep, vivid flavor & a lovely taro cream. Since we have an obsessive need to try as many places as possible, it's unusual for us to return to an establishment, but this one made it to the go-to list of cafés.View more

BEDEN Caphe is gr8t place to be at " Le petit Laurier" neighborhood. They have great coffee, buble tea, sandwich's, soups & desserts that is derived from the strong roots of Vietnamese culture. The owner Diane & her staff team are very welcoming & make sure to feel you part of the family. Side story: this place used to be a traditional Vietnamese restaurant back then that was founded by Diane's mother & she still around helping out. Okay... I grew up around Vietnamese food & I visited Vietnam back in 2018. Imagine my excitement when I discovered this newly opened Vietnamese cafe this year! I only had an egg coffee which was delicious! My friend ordered the banh-mi & he said it is better than his favourite Vietnamese banh-mi place at jean-talon. The food is close to authentic, so I'm over the moon. It's a bit far from where Iive, so I can't come often. Whenever I pass by this neighborhood, I'll definitely stop by this place to grab something to eat.View more

Wonderful coffee, friendly service & cute ambiance. For drinks, I highly recommend the Vietnamese coffee or, if you have an extra large sweet tooth, the egg coffee in particular. Food is very well priced for the area & the portions are generous too! Great sandwiches & soups, although I've yet to try the pastries. There's no WiFi so you can't work from the cafe currently which is a shame as I'd love to spend more time there but it just means you have to socialize to pass the time instead. & there's always room for a friend with their spacious seating! Highly recommended. Edit: WiFi is now available & I see lots of people working at the tables during the day.View more

Everything from this cute coffee shop is done with beautiful taste! The menu is so original & tasty! I was sad to discover this place at the end of our trip; living in the USA, I wish we can have a coffee shop as good as this one. The first time I went there with my Vietnamese mom & she ordered the Banh Mi. She loved it!! I also tasted my sister's salted egg coffee, it was divine! Perfect balance between sweet & a bit of salty. I had a bubble tea, which was very good. The second time I took the durian cappucino & it was just so delicious! The durian was not too overpowering & was present to add extra yumminess to the cappucino.View more

As a Vietnamese person I totally loved the food! The pate chaud was amazing & homemade. The spices the ingredients, to the crust was absolutely delightful. The cafe was great, creamy, sweet, salty, fluffy! They have an Italian touch that surprised me at first but the tiramisu was also exquisite! Highly recommend this cafe! I was in town in search for a strong Vietnamese coffee & I was not disappointed. They were busy & for a good reason! The atmosphere was great as well. The owner even took some time to introduce himself to us & was very friendly. They had a couple of people playing the piano which was nice to listen to. Cute Vietnamese neighbourhood café. Nice decor (Vietnamese hats, old books, a piano, cherry blossoms...) They sell Italian & Vietnamese coffee. The Vietnamese Egg Latte is a must try! They have a breakfast menu (croissants) & a regular menu which includes banh mì (Vietnamese sandwiches), poutines, baos, meal soups & some appetizers. You order at the counter & they bring your food & drink to the table. Prices are very reasonable. Their banh mì are very crispy & tasty. This coffeeshop is very relaxing. I went to Beden on a Sunday afternoon & tried the Vietnamese egg coffee which was amazing. As you go through the coffee from top to bottom, you discover new textures & tastes. I had been there once before & I saw that they had a piano but hadn't played. So this time, I came back with a piano book. This is my new favorite coffee shop in all of Montreal. It's quite literally a one minute walk from my place! The decor is incredible & you can tell a lot of thought was put into it as well as into the menu. I'm a huge fan of Vietnamese coffee, so their coffee menu is like a dream come true. The banh mi are the freshest I've tasted & the sweet potato poutine is delicious & unique. I highly recommend just trying out everything on the menu because you won't be disappointed. Bê is welcoming & sweet & will remember your name if you become a regular. She has a lot of love for the place & you can taste it in the food & drinks. This coffee shop brings me joy!View more
