Went on a Tuesday evening, the restaurant was pretty empty. The service was top notch. I ordered a soup, which was great, & a flank steak. It came with really bland vegetables, but was pretty good. I wished it was a little bit bigger. The caesar salad was pretty good. We had a little birthday cake that was free of charge, which was really appreciated!Voir plus

Food was a bit disappointing. The louisiana chicken salad was delicious but the rest was not the best (especially for the price I paid). The service was mediocre too. My glass of water was empty the whole time & they never refilled it.Voir plus

Attentive staff, flavourful food & oh the chocolate mousse was the perfect dessert not too heavy just right --- chocolatey goodness. My filet mignon was spot on, the loaded baked patato yummy!! *edit they no longer make chocolate mousse which is shame because as I mentioned it was the perfect dessert very light yet rich tasting* *edit #2 Every year my mum & I celebrate my birthday at Baton Rouge, it's become a tradition over the years & this year was no different. Why do we always choose this restaurant? The answer is simple excellent service, scrumptious food - the spinach artichoke dip & chips is outta this world, filet mignon cooked to perfection, ribs done just right, garlic mashed potatoes so creamy with just the right amount of garlic, loaded patato - yes please. & the brownie with ice cream- delish. *pics were taken after we started eating, & I gave my mum the veggies from my plate too* *edit #3 celebrated my bday today like years before service was great. My filet mignon wasn't cooked to my liking I asked for medium rare but got well done, they happily replaced it. Our food was fantastic, we shared a ceasar salad & garlic bread if you haven't tried the garlic bread I recommend you do - delicious. Our main meals were also very tasty. I should note I do take out as well from here & am always very satisfied with the quality of food & service.Voir plus

We had a reservation tonight for 6pm. From that moment on, we were not disappointed. From my Amazing experience with John the Owner/Manager in the parking lot to our great experience with our waiter Tyler, & of course our food….Well Done! Kudos to the entire team. We are from out of town visiting & we've eaten here 3 other times before, & the food & service is very consistent. The personal touches John showed myself & my family this evening, were really next level (too many to note). I'm also in the service industry, & John impressed me. Ordered on Uber , ordered a steak well done & it wasn't well done at all when I received it .. usualy this wouldn't be a problem but the kitchen is under renovation & we don't have anyway to cook it hence why I wrote multiple times IMPORTANT well done (French & English) .. I called to try & resolve the issue & the manager told me they can't do anything it's Uber ... unless my courrier cooked my steak I'm pretty sure it's Baton Rouge that was suppose to solve my problem !!!! Uber is responsible for bringing the items to me in good condition & THEY did , Baton Rouge is suppose to follow my notes & cook my steak well & they DIDNT.... Either way will not return this has happened alot of times before I finaly wrote a review. Thank youVoir plus

Food was great, steak done exactly how I wanted, server did not give me the chimichurri sauce instead was pepper corn sauce. Otherwise better selection, plate fullness & superb service compared to other steak houses that charge extra for all the sides. Dessert was a black forest cake but it was not the greatest I have tasted. Missing chocolate flavour & did not seem like a black forest cake. I would have them go back to the original recipe for this cake.Voir plus

My family & I recently ate at Baton Rouge DDO on a Saturday night & we had a good experience overall, however, there are some areas that need improvement. The positive: Our large group was accommodated at a big table & there was excellent communication regarding when our table would be available. Our waiter Dallas had a positive attitude & finished the service strong despite a few hiccups along the way as he was taking our orders for drinks & food. The quality of food was very good. My rib steak & fully loaded baked potatoes were on point. Vegetables were OK but are an afterthought at a steak house IMO 😂. The calamari entrée was excellent. My smoked old fashioned & Heineken pint were very good. The not so good areas that need improvement: It took a very long time for us to get our first drink order taken & we were not offered water. It took 30+ minutes for us to receive our drinks after reminding the staff. This is unacceptable. One of our beers were forgotten. This situation was quickly resolved & we were brought the beer as well as an extra one to overdeliver (on the house). This was a nice touch until we were charged for both on our final bills. This was quickly resolved by Dallas who removed the charge. The size of the Caesar salad was half of what it used to be. It was delicious but Baton Rouge is skimping on the portion size. At the end of the meal, there were extra charges on our bills that were later removed, however, this did not end things on a positive note for some of my family. Overall, I would give this restaurant another shot as the food was very good & service while inconsistent, finished strong from the point of delivering our main courses to the end. Dallas was very professional & addressed any concerns that we had. He was kind & compassionate throughout our service.Voir plus
