Basilico Pizza and Pasta

We came with no reservation last Friday just to see how it is & they found us a seat in between other reservations!

We only had about 1.5hr but it was more than enough as the food came so fast & the waitresses were super prompt in everything.

Aranza's recommendations were all good - we had carbonara pasta (the sauce is real diff) & Rustica pizza, with a nice fruity cocktail & beer. She was also very kind & sweet to us.

Great pizza , tomato sauce needs improvement but great chef & staff we love Heidi. She is the best. We come for her . Amazing service & always happy to come a have a great experience.

Je vois mon oncle de 88 ans environ tous les deux mois. Je voulais lui faire plaisir & il m'a demandé de l'emmener manger. C'est la deuxième fois que nous sommes aussi déçus. La première fois, nous avions commandé des lasagnes, & elles étaient brûlées. Cette fois-ci, il avait très envie de linguine, & je me suis dit : « Allez, donnons une seconde chance à Basilico. » Il a commandé des calamars frits, & la sauce blanche avait un goût de réfrigéré, elle était complètement fade. Il a commandé des linguine au basilic, & on lui a servi une simple assiette de spaghettis à la sauce tomate, rien d'exceptionnel. J'ai aussi commandé des linguine avec la sauce piquante maison & j'ai eu exactement la même chose : des spaghettis à la sauce tomate. Quand les assiettes sont arrivées, il était évident que ce n'étaient pas des linguine, & personne ne nous avait prévenus qu'il n'y en avait plus. Ils m'ont même apporté du piment séché moulu pour accompagner mes pâtes. C'est certain, nous n'y retournerons pas.

La portion semblait petite vu la grosseur de l'assiette, mais c'était parfait ! Attente longue , déception pour avoir une bouteille d'eau minérale mais une de mes meilleures pâtes carbonara dans la région de Montreal ! La vraie recette italienne , sans sauce à la crème ! Tellement bon !!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Basilico & my experience was simply amazing. The service was unparalleled & our waitress was extremely knowledgeable, helping us pick the perfect wine to pair with our meal. However, the pasta carbonara was EQUISITE! The sauce was rich yet silky & packed with bright flavors that blended beautifully into the most-perfectly cooked pasta I have ever experienced on this side of the Atlantic. I urge you to have your next meal at Basilico. You will love it.

Great pizza & the tortellini in rose sauce was amazing. Quaint & amazing atmosphere, There were some minor delays in the service but overall friendly staff & great time.

Had the pleasure of having our team lunch there today. Everything was just perfect. The food was amazing. Very authentic Italian. Some members of the team tried different pizzas, & enjoyed them. Others had salads, where the portions were perfect. I had the pasta bolognese. The sauce was too die for. I had it with penne. It was so good that I took my time eating it, because I didn't want it to end. I highly recommend this place. I am already looking forward to going again, but for a nice romantic dinner with my lovely wife.
