It was our anniversay & I had been wanting to go to Barranco since its opening. I am definitely adding it to my top FAVORITES in the city. The food was delicious. We tried many things to share & it was filling. The cocktails are so good too. Looking forward for the Pisco to be back in QC.
The staff are amazing & the ambiance of the place itself is just perfect. The restaurant was busy around dinner time even if it was a weekday. Make sure to reserve before showing up! The prices are very fair. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
This was our second visit to Barranco. The first time, we loved it, this second time, we liked it a lot. We love the decor & the service is fantastic. They make a great Pisco Sour, though this time it was made with tequila because of the shortages at the SAQ. Not the restaurant's fault, & the tequila was a good substitute. The food was great, though we found the potatoes on the dry side this time. Also, I'm a vegetarian & I find the veggie options could be more interesting & creative. Beyond Meat is fine, but how about a vegetarian causa on the menu? Or the veggie salchipapas being made with a vegan sausage instead of Beyond burger meat? Also, the first time we went there was great salsa music playing, which really added to the vibe. This time we went later in the evening & it was very loud, beat-heavy club music. Added a party feel, but it was hard to talk over the music (even my teen/young adult kids thought so) & it lacked the Latin vibe we so loved on our first visit.

Très belle découverte! Accueil chaleureux, cuisine authentique, fraîche & savoureuse. Service rapide.
La carte des cocktails, notamment les piscos sont à essayer! Les assiettes se partagent très bien, nous avons adoré les salchipapas, le ceviche rocoto & la causa camarón .. nous pensons déjà à notre prochaine réservation. Tout a été impeccable..bravo Barranco! Vous devez absolument essayer cette adresse!
Very good food, very fresh! The drinks (pisco sours) were very smooth & tasty. The place is nice & the decoration is pretty. Will come back soon, hopefully!
First time here, the food was great! Only comment is there was no Pisco & neither the dessert with lucuma. Two important ingredients that are from Peru

Truly excellent meal for all four of us! Ceviches & causas, all varied & delicious. Best pisco sour of my life! Great service in Spanish, French & English. I'll go back anytime!
It was a great night. The servers were gentle & gave us a good advice when trying to choose the right food combination. The drinks were amazing, we tried 4 different ones with pisco & they blew my mind. I will definitely go back!
Easily the best ceviche in Montreal if not Canada. The cocktails are also amazing, specially the pisco sour. As a peruvian it makes me proud to find a restaurant that showcases the best of our gastronomy.
My family & I were spending our last night in Mtl after hearing so many recommendations about Barranco we were dying to check it out. I made a mistake in the date of my reservation & even though they were fully booked for the night, the staff was very accommodating & got us a table in! My family & I are all Peruvians so we have tried Ceviche & Jalea many times & let me tell you, Barranco had the top 3 best Ceviche & Jaleas we have ever tried. The Maracuya Pisco Sour is also phenomenal & so is the atmosphere/decor of the restaurant. We had an awesome night, I will definitely be coming back & will recommend it to anyone visiting Mtl!

For someone who lived in Lima for 10 years, I could safely day the ceviche was Exactly like I used to eat it in Peru. Truly authentic! The only reason im giving 4* is because they had no Pisco! Especially for 28 Julio!
Absolutely spectacular! It is a must visit not only for peruvians but everyone. Drinks are carefully garnished & food is just the best, like a fancy peruvian restaurant. Sadly there is no stock of Pisco (not really their fault). & make sure you ask your dishes to arrive at the same time.
Ambiance très bruyante & cacophonique, mais la bonne était bonne!
Seule déception, il n'avait plus de pisco un vendredi soir & c'est le drink de spécialité - je me déplaçais principalement pour ça.
C'étais une expérience génial !!! Le service était très rapide. Malgré le fait qu'il n'y avait plus de pisco, ils ont trouvés une belle façon de les remplacer par des cocktails signatures délicieux. La nourriture était exquise...c'était frais, savoureux & rafraichissant. Je vais y retourner s'en hésitation. Je recommande fortement ce restaurant typique péruviens pour tous ceux qui aiment essayer des nouvelles expériences gastronomiques.

I had a great experience at Barranco! I tried booking online but it was full, so I tried calling the restaurant & was able to get a spot that night! The atmosphere is so fun, with bright decor & loud music. The pisco sour was perfect in both presentation & flavor. The barranco ceviche was incredibly fresh! I also ordered a side of the fried potatoes & manioc that were nice & crispy on the outside & soft on the inside & came with two delicious sauces. Our waiter & the hostess were so nice & friendly & the service was very quick. Overall a great experience & I can't wait to return & try something else from the menu!
