Tried Barley twice for brunch Cute interior! Their waffle & chicken with maple syrup is delicious. To die for. Their latte is not bad! Super tasty pancakes! Huge portion. The food was so good & I would recommend the halloumi plate to everyone because it is so good just chief kiss. I am personally not a sweet brunch person so i loved it! & also their latte tastes so good. We also had salad & pancakes which were good too! & the salad my sister loved it! 🎀🌷✨ People complains that the place is a bit pricey but i would say the atmosphere, the service & the food is worth it! Première fois. Via uber Découverte suite à «Coup de Food» Gaufres au Poulet"; une gaufre de patate douce farcie au halloumi, garnie d'un poulet pané aux céréales & d'un oeuf ensoleillé. Le tout est agrémenté d'une sauce épicée à l'érable & d'oignons verts. Gaufre moelleuse, goûteuse, fromage bien présent. Belle couleur. lourd un peu à mon goût Pas eu de sauce à l'érable :( 4/5 Limonade 5/5 le "Elle & Jane" : un matcha glacé rafraîchissant enrichi d'un sirop de lavande. Très bon. Not the best service at all, there were available tables & my group of 5 waited for 15 minutes before being seated. The waitress didn't write down our order & we immediately knew she wouldn't remember it all - which is what happened, one of the meals we ordered we wanted a hard boiled egg instead of the soft boiled because the person eating it is pregnant & she can't eat uncooked yolk,, & her egg came soft boiled. We ordered the pancakes & we requested the nuts to be on the side as one person on the table is allergic to peanuts & we didn't want to take a risk with the hazelnut toping & they served us the hazelnut all over it!View more
The service was amazing. I have tasted many matcha pancakes but by far Barley's is the best one. I also tried the halloumi plate (big cheese fan) that was also delicious. It was a reasonable price for everything i got. Very cute place.View more
Went to Barley for brunch with friends & had an amazing time! We ordered a few things to share. The food was great , the matcha pancakes & the central park toast were my fav!! The matcha latte with lavender syrup was also yummy. 🍵 & the the waitress was super attentive & friendly. Definitely going back :)View more

I was super excited to try this cereal bar. It is close to Lionel groulx metro. The place it self had a row of bar seats in different areas, booths & tables with seating available. The menu did have a lot of options to choose from & was especially accomadting for gluten free, vegan & non-lactose options/substitutes. The items are a bit pricey & the non lactose substitutes being +$1.00 additional charge. The food itself wasn't mind blowing but decent. The house pancakes were average. They had a pretty dense texture although, I expected it to be fluffy. My friends matcha pancakes were less dense. There wasn't much people but the service could have been improved as we had to flag down our waiter to order.View more

My friend really wanted to try this place & I was a bit skeptical because of its 3.9 rating but decided to give it a try anyway & actually enjoyed our experience! The matcha pancakes were delicious. I'm glad I ordered them in the "mini" version (not shown on the menu but you can ask for it) because they were super heavy & filling. The halloumi plate on the other hand was light & tasty. I enjoyed it. Cocktails were also delicious & I have nothing bad to say about the service as opposed to most reviews here. They were friendly & efficient & I was even there during peak hours on a Sunday.View more

The food was good, the pancakes were heavy but yummy, could be nice with an added fresh aspect. The halloumi plate was very yummy, a different breakfast than the norm. The cereal milk latte was cool looking. Thankfully we didn't have to wait too long to be seated on a weekend.View more
Good service, we went around 12 in a rainy day, & it wash full, however we didn't have to wait much, just around 5 minutes, however they manage you serve as many people as possible that the tables end up being excessively close to each other. I tried the Matcha Pancakes & although looks very good, wasn't special at all & it was pricey for some pancakes without much fruits. The americano was alright.View more
