I want to personally thank Chris, the manager at Barbie's, for hosting our alumni brunch at Barbie's last Sunday. Matthew, our waiter, was first rate, the food was as usual, great, & the atmosphere & ambiance were perfect.
The prices & quality were top-notch, & it's always a good spot to go to for family gatherings, get-togethers with friends, etc. Thank you once again for making us feel welcome & at home! We'll be back!!!

I've been going to Barbie's when it first opened (maybe 25 years ago?). I haven't been there in around 5 years & nothing has changed except they finally renovated. We went for Sunday lunch on Father's Day. Service was quick & friendly. I ordered the smoke meat poutine & my husband ordered the pizzaghetti. Both were good & even better - $30 tax in. You really can't get a better deal price wise in the city, you just need to remember to print the coupons from their website. If you're looking for a good, inexpensive American-style restaurant, Barbie's should be your go to. Very family friendly too. They have a bar section if you just want to grab a drink or to watch a game.
We just enjoyed a family dinner. Food was great, we shared a few appetizers & had some drinks. Service was amazing, from the hostess who greeted us, busboys & manager to the server Emma who took good care of us. Thank you, we will be back 🙂

Family gathering of 20. Kids were well served. Great portions & great prices. All the food was good, served fresh, hot, & quickly. Service was 👌 Drinks were good 👍 👌 we will be back.
We had a group of 20 show up for a family gathering. Our server (Guillermo?) was super friendly, funny & accommodating. Great atmosphere, great food & tons of laughs. My new favorite place anytime I pass through Maschouche!
We recently had a retirement party, with about 45 people. We have gone to other restaurants with about 20-25 people. & other restaurants did not meet the excellence of this restaurant. The food was all delicious & prepared well & served hot. The set menu had a good variety, along with soup or salad & dessert with hot beverage. The price was very reasonable(especially during these days, with very high food prices).
The staff worked together, like a well oiled machine. Always courteous & polite. Anything we asked for, was given right away. We never needed to ask for water, they would bring it by, from time to time. Which is good with a large group. They knew when to wait for us to honour the guest & give gifts & when to start serving us. I already knew that this was a good restaurant to go with family & friends. & now, as you can see, with such a great experience, I would not hesitate to go there with a large group.
