First off our servers were lovely & professional
We were so disappointed with the food, as the prices did not reflect its taste. My son had ribs that were the frozen type ones that you buy in a box along with frozen fries for $30.00. Our chicken brochettes were dry & rice was tasteless. The Greek salad was good though. The soup was bitter, so that wasn't eaten.
Please know that we are not picky, but there are such amazing restaurants in the West Island…..try them.

I recently moved to Dorval & I have been scouting around for good restaurants, bars & venues. I decided to try Barbies Dorval out & I found all three in one!
The staff were super welcoming & offered a place in the dining room, but I opted for a seat at the bar. The bartender was attentive & friendly & had a great instinct for when to refill. Great selection of drinks, whether you like IPAs or something harder. Decent wine selection too. I had a pint of Heineken to start, nice & cold, & then a generous Vodka/soda.
The menu has a wide variety of classics & some higher end stuff too. They have two-for-one deals, lunchtime offers & a kids menu.
I started with a bowl of lentil soup & an appetizer called Cheese Delight, which is fried halloumi. The soup was good but the Cheese Delight really lived up to its name. This combination could be a meal in itself.
For my main course I had the Bavette de Boeuf, which is essentially steak frite. It's advertised as a 7oz but I'm sure it was much more generous than that. I got it medium & it was seasoned & grilled to perfection. It came with a good portion of fries & an excellent cesar side salad.
I opted out of their amazing-looking desserts because the combination of appetizer & main was plenty for me.
The bartending & wait staff took good care of me throughout my meal. The service was impeccable.
I learned that they host personal occasions like birthdays when you can invite you can set up your own band or DJ.
I have become a regular visitor since & have tried many of the items on the menu. None have disappointed.

I like large places so I feel good at Barbies especially cause they have booths . The guys who attended us where nice & attentive, always smiling. The menu offers many options & specials, all affordable. I ordered the casserole of sea food gratined & my husband, smoked meet sandwiche with fries & cauliflower salad. We also had the soup d jour . That was good but far from amazing.
Unbeknownst to me in the summer of 2021, this Barbie's location reopened. Why did I not know about it? I was surfing the net & accidentally found that the restaurant had reopened. Yeah! With a fully redecorated location, it was an adventure to see if the new franchise is as good as the old. We went with the basics. I had the Meat Lovers pizza & my partner had the Chicken Souvlaki Sticks. The pizza was good. I ate the whole thing. So if you follow me, you know I'm not a big eater. When it arrived at the table it was steaming hot. I love that. The top was a bit over done as you can see in the picture, & it seemed as if someone forgot the toppings. The crust was thin & crispy, but as it cooled, it got very hard to cut. The sauce was super tasty & the pepperoni was perfectly sliced. The menu said that it had smoked meat & bacon, but it was hard to find any. Too bad. I love pizza. As for the Souvlaki, it was very good. I tried the chicken, thinking it would be dry as Souvlaki sticks often are. I was wrong. Tasty, juicy & super tender. The plate was filled with rice & a small bowl of salad was provided. The rice was good but my partner wanted more salad. It was that good. Will we go back? Absolutely. Barbies now has a fidelity card & promotions. Check out their website.
For the fans of the "old Barbies " it's back with many of the discounts available but the food is very different . Old Barbies was a greasy spoon style with huge plates filled with fresh cut fries & salad to fill you up to the max . The new version is more upscale in design , atmosphere & food . My wife had a smoked meat pizza which was tasty but lacked cheese & toppings . I had chicken souvlaki plate which was also tasty but I kind of miss the fries, rice & salad overflow of the old version . What made our night was great service by Santino . Overall it's a good deal with lots of choices . I'd give it another shot & try perhaps a burger .
Just went for a bday party with my 4 kids kids eat for free with an adult each I got smoke meat is was excellent my wife had chicken ceasar salad big portions & was very good kids had pizza the pizza was great cost us 80$ with tip great worker's very friendly if you want good food good price this is the place

We recently had a retirement party, with about 45 people. We have gone to other restaurants with about 20-25 people. & other restaurants did not meet the excellence of this restaurant. The food was all delicious & prepared well & served hot. The set menu had a good variety, along with soup or salad & dessert with hot beverage. The price was very reasonable(especially during these days, with very high food prices).
The staff worked together, like a well oiled machine. Always courteous & polite. Anything we asked for, was given right away. We never needed to ask for water, they would bring it by, from time to time. Which is good with a large group. They knew when to wait for us to honour the guest & give gifts & when to start serving us. I already knew that this was a good restaurant to go with family & friends. & now, as you can see, with such a great experience, I would not hesitate to go there with a large group.
