I'd like to start by saying the service was excellent. They were attentive, & charming. The food was fine, but perhaps my expectations were higher given the price & google reviews I read. I am not a fan of natural wine, so perhaps this bias should be taken into account, but I did not enjoy the tasting menu wine that were paired with the menu. Not a horrible experience, but not worth the price imo.View more
Delicious food, friendly helpful staff & great wines. A must for me when visiting Montreal.View more
Beautiful wine bar with a charming outdoor seating area. The ambiance is lovely, & the food was a delightful surprise! Highly recommend Verdun Beach Wine Bar for a relaxing evening.View more
This restaurant was absolutely fabulous. Every dish we had, from the wagyu to the white fish was absolutely incredible. I do not particularly like Brussels sprouts but the way they were prepared changed my opinion completely, they were delicious, crunchy, & had a wonderful glaze & char I couldn't get enough of. The star was the confit tomato my group referred to as "the crack tomato" it was honestly one of the best things I have ever tasted. The wine selection was lovely as well, although I did inquire whether a bottle of orange wine was a certain year & it came out to be a year younger, although despite that it was still quite tasty. Service was impeccable, friendly & attentive. The atmosphere was quite nice as well. I have to say this restaurant blew me away, & I can't wait to return! Also very agreeable prices, the wagyu was a very decent market price.View more
I went for a drink on the terrasse, which looks very nice. Despite many tables being available, the waitress made my friendz & I wait 10 minutes to "see if something is available" despite the place being empty & the fact that we can't reserve on the terrasse. We had glasses of wine. There are nice options but they only have natural wines.View more
Great beach bar vibe with an interesting & well-cooked variety of small plates. Service was friendly & relaxed, & the wine & beer lists were well chosen.View more
The wine & beer is good. But the food is very average & overpriced for the quality. My girlfriend ordered the cauliflower gnocchi. It was an extremely small portion & tasted almost just like butter pasta. I ordered the butcher choice of the day. I misheard the waiter & thought I was going to get some beef (my fault not the waiters). Turned out it was a single pork chop with no sides. I found 40$ for a half decent porc chop with no sides quite excessive. Definitely a place to go for drinks. There are so many better places on Wellington for food & to get better value for your money.View more
One of my FAVOURITE spots for good food & good wine. Their wine selection is phenomenal & the servers all seem to know their stuff. The food is pretty good, but mostly small bites so don't expect a full meal. I'd advise to make a reservation as they fill up really fast. Can be quite loud inside when they're full & have the music blasting, but the patio out in the back is lovelyView more
Went here for a girls' night out & really had a great time! Fantastic atmosphere, great service, delicious wine & food. We shared a few dishes, but the mackerel & the sea bass really stood out for us! I wish there was more in each plate for sharing, but other than that, we had a great time, & I'd come back again!View more
Good wine list, but the food was average. The staff are great!View more
Perfect ambiance, great selection of wine, great drinks & amazing food - & great service! Highly recommendedView more
On a busy Friday night, my girlfriend & I sat at the bar/open kitchen & celebrated our anniversary with five small plates for sharing, a cocktail each, & some red wine. All of it delicious & unique & inspiring. The young chefs & wait staff are doing great things in the heart of Verdun's Wellington-street hub. Good food, warm decor, energetic vibe, & still able to carry on a conversation. What more do you want for a fair price?View more
A little bougie with a lot of natural wines but still a great experience.View more
Perfect birthday dinner date! Highly recommend the sharing menu. We also ordered the oysters & the wine pairings. Everything was delicious. Each plate had a unique twist to it. Our server presented & described each wine. The pairings were very well thought out to compliment each dish. Very great ambiance & service! On a vraiment aimé notre expérience chez vous!View more
Had an early dinner with a friend as both of us have been wanting to try this resto. Love the beachy/tiki bar mid-century decor! We shared 4 menu items:
- Beets & labneh: EXTRAORDINARY!!!
- Celeriac w. Sweet & sour pepper: light yet comforting with beautiful flavors
- Oyester mushrooms w. beurrasse, apple & pearl onion: the most hearty dish of our order.
- Sourdough bread w. chaga butter: a perfect complimentary side
The menu consisted of clever dishes, & the ones I tried were fantastic. Extensive wine list for pairing along with cocktails. I highly recommend it. Paid street parking available, or if you may be lucky enough to find a free spot on one of the nearby residential streets.View more
The food is below mediocre at best. We took the tasting menu with wine pairing & it was 230$ - WAY too expensive for what it was. I do not recommend. Do not go.
