We got their chief menu which was around 80 a person & it was amazing. There was 6 of us so we got around 4 plates per course (2 duplicates of 2 dishes), which was a solid amount of food for the amount we paid. You are able to see your food being prepped which adds to the atmosphere. Every dish we had was excellent though the beef heart & the halibut were the star for sure along with the dessert which they bring out on & set on fire. Would recommend going to & grabbing a drink or two at the establishment. Also their washrooms are quite cute as well.View more

Food was amazing, up to the dessert which was flambé with the wrong alcohol. Upon sharing our feedback, they advised us that they will make the change for all upcoming orders. However, still charged us for the dessert on the basis that we "ate it". We mostly ate the pistachio ice cream to not waste it... Overall, great restaurant, service could be improved & menu on website is not reflective of menu in restaurant as it changes often.View more

They change menu every week wish they have better plates next time. Dessert pana cotta was the best among what we've ordered. Pétoncles were sweet tasting like toffee. Pates aux Bourgots were good & pork chops' flavour was not my typeView more

Amazing meal & service. The food is outstanding. Every dish was almost perfect. Edit 2024-03-31: Still a very nice menu. The flavour of the pasta dish with snail was amazing & the seafood had a nice freshness to it. I, however, did find that the Tator Tots (with caviar) were overcooked & the Baked Alaska was way too sweet.View more

The food here is excellent & the appetizers, which are easy to share, are my favorite part of the menu. Excellent wine list & great selection by the glass. The decor is more bar than restaurant but if you look through it you will likely enjoy a great meal & friendly service. The place is open on Mondays which makes it a go to spot for restaurateurs.View more

The atmosphere is very nice. Super cool open kitchen concept with not very loud music & great for a cosy setting. Menu is definitely interesting & the wine list is great. That said, the reason I am leaving 4 stars is because for the price range, I was excepting something exceptional & was not mind blown. It was good, but not competitive compared to a lot of the other great restaurants in the neighbourhood. Some of the dishes lacked a certain finesse in how they were put together. Otherwise, a great spot for a romantic evening.View more

I went to Bar St-Denis on a Thursday night, & it was an OK place. First, I have to mention the service. Our waiter was outstanding. It was truly a service to be praised. He was attentive, refilled our water all the time, offered counsel on what to choose while putting no pressure at all. Very charming The atmosphere was good, the decor is beautiful & it's a small enough place so that it's fun to be in while being classy. However, we took the "discovery" tour that is 75-80$ per person. Some of it was good, now most of it was very fancy while not being very good for the price. Tiny portions, explained in a high class or pompous manner that some of my colleagues were in awe of with the wine pairing. I find that it was very overpriced for food that was being passed as "classy", while not being very tasty. One of the good things is that the formula was good for people who like to share.View more

Nous avions une reservation de groupe au Bar St Denis, où un menu de groupe de 80$/personne a ete de mise. Les restrictions alimentaires avaient été communiquées à la personne responsable des reservations de groupe à 3 reprises quelques jours avant notre souper (par courriel & téléphone). Malheureusement celles-ci n'ont pas ete respectees. La responsable a accommodé la personne ayant des restrictions, suite à notre demande. Par contre, la responsable avait une attitude désagréable & hautaine...manque de professionnalisme. c'est très désolant. Le serveur etait super gentil & aimable! La nourriture etait generalement bonne, formule plats à partager. Beaucoup de fruits de mer. Dispendieux pour ce qui nous a ete servi. À 80$/personne avec un menu choisi par le restaurant, nous avions des hautes attentes. L'ambiance etait bonne.View more

Cet endroit est polyvalent. On peut y aller autant pour un verre & une bouchée que pour un repas complet. J'ai opté pour la deuxième option & je n'ai pas été déçue. Je me suis régalée des pétoncles, du labneh, des pâtes aux bourgots, des poireaux & du boudin. L'utilisation de produits locaux tel le verjus a contribué à mon appréciation. Le service était très efficace, attentionné & sympathique. La carte des vins regorge de bons choix. La seule amélioration que je suggèrerais est de baisser un peu là luminosité. & oui, la facture peut monter vite, mais on paye pour de la qualité, & les prix sont comparables aux autres endroits de ce genre.View more

Nous avons beaucoup aimé notre première expérience au Bar St-Denis hier soir. Bon service professionnel, quelques plats délicieux, comme le pétoncle au citron confit (WoW, frais, délicat, sublime), l'assiette de betteraves, crème sure & aneth (surprenant comme c'est savoureux), & la saucisse de cerf, surtout pour son accompagnement de champignons & sa sauce goûteuse & onctueuse. Vraiment, un très bon repas. Beau restaurant, clientèle plutôt jeune, très bonne musique mais, petit hic, système de son quelconque.View more
