Overall, reviews describe Bar Pamplemousse as a cozy, stylish spot with a welcoming vibe where drinks and food consistently impress. The menu features inventive cocktails, a strong craft beer selection, and a range of dishes from hummus and lamb to octopus and falafel that many describe as outstanding. The service is repeatedly praised as friendly, attentive, and professional, with staff making guests feel welcome and well looked after. Ambiance shifts from intimate to lively, with a charming interior and a nice terrace that some guests enjoy, though a few reviews note crowding or a moldy smell from a nearby building when seated outside. Occasional critiques include slow service during busy periods, price inconsistencies between menus outside and inside, and a group billing issue that some felt could have been handled more smoothly. Overall Bar Pamplemousse is described as a great place for friends or family to enjoy a night out with reliable drinks, tasty food, and a warm, friendly atmosphere, with many looking forward to returning.
I have been coming to Pamplemousse for several years & I always love it! Great atmosphere, big (dog friendly) terrace in the summer, really nice & professional staff, fun drinks & great food! One of my favorite places to get food while I'm having a drink. Their menu has changed a lot over the years & still changes, but it's always good. I don't think they had their pizzas last time I was there but those were always delicious. The carrots are also really nice. It can be a bit busy sometimes in peak summer, evening time but it's worth it if you can get a seat. A little pricey but it's place des arts so it's mostly on par with the area.

Service on the dog friendly patio was extremely slow for everything except water, plan on either having a snack before you arrive or ordering all of your drinks & food the first time you get a server. Food was amazing though (burger & burrata). Note menu recently changed & pizza is no longer available.
Good music & vibe. Food was underwhelming. Jerk chicken was underseasoned. Don't get the pizza. You'd pop Delissio in the oven for something similar & much better value.
This place is okay if it's late & you want to grab a bite... but food is pretty bad. The falafel sandwich was okay, but the mushroom pizza is really sad. Had no flavour at all. If you ask for spicy oil, they charge you +3$. We also ordered some fries & asked for ketchup, we never got it.
I don't mean to be rude but I had such high expectations & none were met. Food - very average. I ordered spicy lamb pizza & it was not at all spicy. I requested for tabasco but the service was so bad that a tiny bottle of tabasaco came after 20mins (I done eating with my pizza by then). Atmosphere was also avg, nothing u won't get anywhere else. I feel sad that I spent 60 bucks & it was nothing special. We ended by going to le central because I was hungry & didn't feel like spending another 60.
The butter chicken pizza was good but it probably could have been better & would be cool if there was a vegan or vegetarian version of the dish as an option. The highlight was the crust : it reminded me of Tasty Foods pizza crust. I really liked sitting outside at night on the terrace. The people there are chill & waitresses & waiters are super nice. Will be back to try other things :)
I’ve tried many dishes at Bar Pamplemousse. Some are so tasty like the plantain burger & pizza some are good. The Jerk Chicken was nice but did not like much the ceviche. The combination was a bit weird & did not feel as if it is a fresh ceviche. The shrimps alone are delicious but not with that sauce & plantain. The chorizo pizza is really special on a thin crust. The burger is unusual & the combination is so yummy. You can find as well a variety of beers & wine. I have taste a few & none disappointed me. They were all super delicious with different taste & choice. It is a cute & romantic restaurant. It gets loud sometimes & too dark but the candles make it a cute ambiance. I will go back to just & take what I’ve been having. Probably for more drinks.
Cocktails were very good but pricey (>20$/piece depending on what you choose). I didn't try their food, but they have wood fired oven pizza ! We came early so there was not much ambiance but the decor was stylish & we liked it a lot. I would definitely go back at a later time & try their pizza ;).
Had the most wonderful experience at Bar Pamplemousse! We ordered the Saturn & let me tell you if you like your cocktails slightly sweeter you will love this one. The mixologist nailed it. The butter chicken pizza was hands down the best pizza I've had. I would give 11/10 if I could! Our server Adri was a gem of a person. Will definitely be back.

I cannot think of a better date night, lunch, or vibey restaurant. I hosted an incredible company party here & the team was incredible. Most affordable spot in MTL, & the owner was accommodating to our every need. The pizza was to die for. I can’t wait to come back.
