L'espace est intime et sans artifice, agrémenté de bougies et de vinyles, ce qui le rend idéal pour un verre en solo, un rendez-vous ou un dîner décontracté, et les clients apprécient le rapport qualité-prix et l'accueil.
Decided to try Bar Minou after reading the amazing reviews. That said, my experience at this restaurant was abysmal. Arrived & was offered a small table & told that I would be provided with a space at the bar once one became available. Watched two couples leave the bar without being offered a place. Ordered a bottle of wine & was told that the wine we requested was'a big ask'. We asked that if the wine we requested was not available, could we be provided with a comparable wine to which the waiter explained he had only been working there for two weeks & wasn't necessarily able to sample the wines in stock. It took 20 minutes to retrieve the bottle (which was not the one we requested, as it was unavailable). We were provided with the alternate & when we asked if it was a similar profile the waiter explained that he thought so. We advised the waiter that we had requested a place at the bar & he agreed that we could move but we would need to remind him. We also told the waiter we were intending to order food, but he never came back to take our order. We decided 45 minutes into our evening that we would finish our bottle of wine & go elsewhere for food (which we did). Would def not recommend.
Bar Minou graciously accommodated our mildly rowdy group of 15. The wine & cocktails hit the mark & the namesake cat theme was integrated with subtlety! Didn't get to try the food, but will definitely be returning with a smaller gang to do so. Thank you.

Just opened 3 months ago, this Spanish-inspired bar is amazing! Every tapas dish is perfectly balanced - you really can't go wrong. The espresso butter pasta was unforgettable, light & creamy at the same time.
I'm usually not a dessert person, but their sweet potato & pumpkin dessert was so good, I had to try it! The menu changes with the seasons, so I can't wait to come back.
The space is cozy with a great atmosphere - perfect for a solo drink or a date. Staff are friendly, cocktails are beautiful & delicious, & the natural wine selection is fantastic.
They don't usually take reservations, so if you don't want to wait, go right at opening. Hands down the best meal I've had in Montreal recently - I'll definitely be back!

We went to Bar Minou on a very rainy evening. From the second we walked in we felt welcomed & warmed. Candles flickered on the beautiful wooden bar & small tables, staff smiled & greeted us kindly, & music playing off the staff's personal vinyls added to the ambiance.
My cocktail (maïs margarita) was a smoky delight, & the wine list was exciting. But the star of the show was of course the food. Every dish was absolutely perfect, with unique flavour combinations & beautiful presentation. The cat's ear pasta, heirloom tomatoes, corn & chanterelle soup, & pork shoulder were standouts.
If you want a cozy, friendly, unpretentious experience with food you'll be thinking about for months this is the place for you!
Incredible evening at Bar Minou. Really delicious menu (the cat's ear pasta with brown butter was insane). Excellent selection of natural wine that pairs perfectly with the inventive cuisine. The staff were warm & helpful. They had several vegetarian dishes & they were happy to modify & improvise even more veg options. Also the grilled pork shoulder was immaculate (not pictured). We will definitely be back.
