My friends & I were sat on the couch, enjoying beautiful drinks & plates of food with incredible flavours.
I'll start with the food.
The cauliflower was so good, undoubtedly the highlight. We also ordered fries (some of the best crispy fries I've had, the sauce is to die for, please make a poutine???) + the bread & butter, the bread has this … charcoal-y profile as if it just was baked on volcanic rocks. It's a good thing. Really
We were so comfy, the vibes were chill on this Tuesday evening & music at the right volume to allow us to catch up & enjoy.
The service was impeccable, our waitress & her colleagues were always checking in on us.

I smile, & hold her close. I feel no fear. I say to her,'we're going to go to Bar Le Sparrow to order the breakfast Banh Mi with eggplant. We'll once again taste the best sandwich that has ever graced the face of this earth; the combination of perfectly baked bread, fried eggs & eggplant, Hoisin sauce, & fresh veggies dancing on our tongues; only made better by the fantastic service, friendly staff, & unbeatable vibe of the bar; before we accept our annihilation.'
She smiles back. We eat our sandwiches in peace as the meteor makes its impact. Our last thoughts are only the hope that somewhere & sometime out there in the vast expanse of the cold & great universe, sentient life will again emerge, rebuild civilization, & once again discover the glory of Bar Le Sparrow's breakfast Banh Mi.Voir plus

I was craving shakshuka & went to Sparrow to satisfy my craving! It never disappoints, super flavourful & so happy I got to brunch there. Also had their cardamom latte (so fragrant!) & asked for extra merguez on the shakshuka. Sat by the bar counter alone & the staff kept me company & chatted with me.Voir plus

J'adorais cet endroit avant la pandémie, les plats étaient copieux & savoureux, mais j'y suis retournée hier & à ceci je dis : au voleur. Une salade césar a 14$, lire le quart d'un paquet de kale a 2,50$ a l'épicerie, le bol faisait la grosseur de la paume de ma main, ceci sans croûtons, sans anchois, bacon, ou montagne de parmesan... la salade césar la plus basic qui soit a 14$. Mon chum a payé 17$ pour 4-5 petits bouts de poulet en entrée. L'inflation a le dos large, mais honnêtement lorsqu'on va ailleurs on peut nettement comparer la différence côté qualité/quantité pour le prix. C'était une dernière expérience pour moi. Great spot for brunch! Very diverse menu & options for vegetarians as well. Coffee menu is impressive. Service was a bit slow, but there was only two servers & they also had to managed walk-ins & reservations so they were spread a bit thin.Voir plus
