Has cold vegetarian salads like fake chicken salad of various sorts. Friendly staff!
Very friendly staff, great selection of prepared on-site ready-to-eat foods, bagels, soups, salads, light bites, pastries, spreads, fresh juices & much more. Oh & I heard the schnitzel is excellent too. The only real downside is it's quite pricey & at one point could cause a peaceful protest, so owners please be reasonable despite inflation etc etc we know the drill. One special shout out related to a recent visit is for Cal who somehow filled two containers to the exact price of $6 each. Impressive! The woman at the register is also quite a gem. PS Seriously 13.99 for a small container of smoked salmon MOUSSE - the lowest quality of those products. Please reconsider this pricing short sightedness. Despite that thank you for all your hard work & keeping the quality side up & stable.
I walked 25 minutes to this Bagel place. It's worthy! The servers were so genuinely happy. It was contagious. The bagels & sandwich were great & at good price. The salad, I should have order the combo special. By weight for one item in medium size, costs $12, a bit pricy. Overall, love it.
Just moved to the neighborhood-what a delight, what a treat. This bakery is a gem. Every neighborhood deserves one like it. Soup, cheese, salads, warm dishes, egg rolls, knishes- with a touch of Filipino & a Mexican flavor....empanadas & egg rolls displayed. Truly, a perfect little spot.
Prices & quality are very good, staff are friendly & attentive, they provide a true service! My only small comment would be to go lighter on the mayo in the salads (tuna, chicken etc). But honestly such a great spot & love it!!!
Very good bagels - not Montreal standard, but to me in a good way! There's a lot you can do with the sandwiches, & there are a lot of other food options - knishes, but also various veggie & meat salads, empanadas, & more. There's even a hot table with various curries & other foods. Very reasonable prices & prompt & cheery service. I love bringing people here for breakfast or light lunches!
I tried roast beef sandwich & artichoke salads. They were fresh & tasty. I got a coffee too, which was Ok. Staff were friendly & helpful. The only thing I didn't like was that I have to transfer everything by hand from the kitchen at one side of the store to the Cash on the other side for payment before sitting & eating. It's kind of wierd.
Interesting place. Almost like a NY style bodega? In addition to the bagels, there's soup & salads, a staffed juice bar, self serve coffee, pastries & more. Tables & a washroom. Good addition to the neighbourhood.
The most amazing food... including Gluten Free options... there is really no reason to go anywhere but Bagels on Greene. The food is delicious, the service is quick, & the staff is extremely friendly. For bagels (highly recommend the Sesame - i can't stop eating them)... for salads (Mango Avocado - has a slight kick that contrasts the sweetness of the Mango that will keep you coming back for more) & you can not go wrong w/ their Chicken Salad. Lots of variety, GF (Gluten Free) options... A+++++++ service! If you haven't been... stop reading this & go now! PS: did I mention their coffee.... go go go!!

We heard so much about this place that we finally gave it a try & had lunch there with 2 of my workmates.
A strong garlic smell welcomes you as soon as you open the door. Everybody has access to the salad bar, coffee cups, people touch, smell.. Horrible. I first thought I was in a restaurant in Costa Rica or something! Hygiene is bad, & service, even if quick, is not friendly. I just had a bagel (which was good) & a drink. Couldn't have anything else, all the sandwiches looked old & not appetizing at ALL. I'd say it's a good place if you don't really care about hygiene & that everything else around is closed.
Ideal place for a quick lunch, breakfast, early supper if you're on the run. Excellent for take-out if you don't feel like cooking. Salad bar & soups, ethnic tidbits (from samosas to latkes & egg rolls, etc.), bagels, smoothies. Cakes, tortes, cookies. Mostly organic. Those with allergies can dive into gluten-free stuff. Excellent espressos too. Service with a wide smile & a staff that aims to please. Truly a neighborhood gem.
