Such a nostalgic spot for me for many reasons. I used to work in the area & also went to school at Dawson so Bagels Greene was nearby. It was always my go to lunch spot! They offer a cafeteria like style or counter style food. There's so many options & lot of fresh items as well as serve yourself coffee.
I ordered the salmon lox bagel & it was stacked. I like to get capers in my bagel for a bit of saltiness umami. The bagel itself was delicious & the seasoning on it was good. They were generous with the smoked salmon so I appreciated that.
This is the closest to a NYC place you will find in Montreal but with more space to move around & sit less crowded. & they make their own bagels, more delicious & fresh, better bagels than NYC.

I always go to Bagel on Greens - they have one of the best smoked salmon bagels in Montreal. The bagel is fresh & tasty, & the salmon is always top quality. Definitely recommend this place!
Very friendly staff, great selection of prepared on-site ready-to-eat foods, bagels, soups, salads, light bites, pastries, spreads, fresh juices & much more. Oh & I heard the schnitzel is excellent too. The only real downside is it's quite pricey & at one point could cause a peaceful protest, so owners please be reasonable despite inflation etc etc we know the drill. One special shout out related to a recent visit is for Cal who somehow filled two containers to the exact price of $6 each. Impressive! The woman at the register is also quite a gem. PS Seriously 13.99 for a small container of smoked salmon MOUSSE - the lowest quality of those products. Please reconsider this pricing short sightedness. Despite that thank you for all your hard work & keeping the quality side up & stable.
Cheap bagels, you get what you pay for. Its food that's normal, wont go out my way to visit this place. Better places in the area. Coffee is more milk than coffee. Not worth the money, go to some roaster around the corner. Service is friendly at least but that doesn't make up for the money you lose on the value of the food. Was given yesterday's bagels & not fresh baked ones.
a GREAT breakfast spot, i highly highly recommend stopping here for the lox bagel. it was so good & the bagel was warm & fresh. i also had the potato knish which was so yummy, nice smooth potato purée with a delicious onion flavour encased in dough. would love to go back & try some of the sweets.
One of the classic breakfast places in downtown. Grab a fresh bagel & coffee here & pay a very fair price for it. I love this place & the ambience is warm & cozy. They have tons of seats as well.
I tried roast beef sandwich & artichoke salads. They were fresh & tasty. I got a coffee too, which was Ok. Staff were friendly & helpful. The only thing I didn't like was that I have to transfer everything by hand from the kitchen at one side of the store to the Cash on the other side for payment before sitting & eating. It's kind of wierd.

I use this company 3 times for our corporate events & the food is always fantastic & the delivery on time. The fruit platter & smoked salmon platter are delicious & fresh. I highly recommend their catering services!
March 2024: Been coming here countless times. This bagel shop & restaurant is pretty decent. They have upgraded their setup with Tv Screens & added a few things but the restaurant still needs to be cleaner & the tables for eating are okay but some are wobbly or crooked. The smoked salmon bagel is a must it's good & not bad. Other than that the place is alright & needs to be better maintained. 1st review: Bagels on Greene is a decent bagel place & restaurant. One thing I do not like was that they do not have fresh sesame bagels after one to two hours before closing time. I sometimes go there for a dozen bagels & they say, oh! we have some wrapped here in the counter but different kinds or we are sold out for the day. Kind of disappointing for me. Secondly, I ordered online one time & the staff messed up my order. I ordeed one of their cheese bagels online without sugar on top & when I opened the the box there was sugar on top. I wanted to return it but decided not too since it was not a big deal but was wrong. They need to train employees better on online orders & pickup orders making sure orders being delivered or picked up are correct & accurate. Customer service is decent as well. They need better training & need to be kinder & happier when dealing with customers. Other than that A good decent place for your classic bagels & other types of products you can purchase. Their cheese bagels are delicious as well & tasty & have different kinds to choose from. This store/restaurant is a definite reccomend for all.
