About

Bacaro Pizzeria specializes in authentic Neapolitan-style pizza prepared in a high-temperature wood-burning oven to achieve a characteristic blistered crust. The menu emphasizes traditional Italian culinary techniques, featuring thin-crust pies topped with premium imported ingredients like D.O.P. San Marzano tomatoes and creamy buffalo mozzarella. Beyond pizza, the kitchen prepares fresh pasta dishes and classic antipasti designed to reflect regional Italian flavors with precision. The dining environment focuses on a minimalist aesthetic that prioritizes the open hearth as the primary functional and visual center of the space. Every element of the food preparation process adheres to rigorous standards of craftsmanship and ingredient sourcing to ensure consistency across the entire menu. This establishment offers a direct exploration of standardized Italian comfort food through a commitment to high-quality cooking methods and efficient kitchen operations.

Review Summary

Bacaro Pizzeria is described as a nice place with good pizzas and a notable gourmet option, though the sauce on one pie is a bit tart and could be less acidic. A vegan pizza option is appreciated, and the gluten-free crust is praised as among the best, while toppings can feel sparse in some reviews. Prices are considered fairly high. Service is generally strong and the setting is bright with plenty of natural light, and a Sunday lunch visit felt quiet and relaxing. A fried calamari starter is noted as rubbery by some. Overall, Bacaro Pizzeria comes across as a solid choice with tasty pies and a pleasant atmosphere.

Went for lunch on a Sunday. Super quiet so service was great. I ordered a all dressed gluten-free pizza. I thought the crust was probably the best I've had for pizza gluten-free. But, I will concur with some of the reviews, stating that there's not enough topping, do you have to say that I would have liked a lot more toppings, it was a bit scarce.

A Hidden Gem with Unforgettable Pizza I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant, & it was an experience to remember. The pizza was nothing short of amazing-perfectly crafted with fresh ingredients & a crust that was just the right balance of crisp & chew. The new menu is simply stunning, offering a variety of creative & mouthwatering options that cater to every taste. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, & went above & beyond to make sure we had a fantastic time. A special shoutout to Andre, the owner, whose kindness & warm hospitality truly made us feel welcome. If you're looking for a place with top-notch food & exceptional service, look no further. Highly recommended!

Very pleasant dining al fresco on Monkland Avenue. Shared 1 appetizer (arrancini) & 1 pizza cappriciosa. The thin crust & toppings were great. The arrancini was good too. The service was very professional. Will be sure to return.
